After that performance yesterday, he can wear #11 for all I care

BREAKING: Boo Nieves wearing No. 15 on helmet at NYR informal skate. Apparently someone else will be wearing 24 at camp. (Told that Nieves approached trainers this morning and asked for change).
Let's pump the brakes on that. I know you were probably still shitting in diapers in 94, but there is a reason 11 is hanging from the rafters and still heavily involved with the franchise.

'twas a joke, but okay
Well, in his prime :P Lindros was a Ranger, but that was several concussions later
Unless Kakko grows a lot, not sure these two are at all similar.
Lindros was a physical beat (and played that way). Kakko has decent size.
I don't like the Jagr comparisons either, but that's closer to the upside and type of player but I don't think Kakko will be a 50-goal scorer, but who knows.

Unsigned DeAngelo and Lemieux both skating with group at NYR training center. Talks continue but no progress at this point. Lemieux has been here for about a month, working at Prentiss. DeAngelo joined group yesterday.

Lemieux signed a one-year deal so only Tony D is left

$925,000, so he received more than his Q.O.
DeAngelo was projected at much more than that on a LT deal, but who knows, maybe they get it done on a bridge deal with minimal pain.

Still holding out hope for a trade involving Namestnikov, Staal and/or Smith, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
Also, while he's not the tank Jagr was for most of his career, was Jagr even that tank when he entered the league as a teenager? We'll see how Kakko fills out.
Yeah, he'll be much better.
Agreed 100%
