He probably wanted to tell the rest of the staff but decided not to let Gettleman off the phone. Can you imagine the celebration the Rams had when that trade wa announced?
It was no secret how horrible Ogletree was his last two seasons with the Rams. The only team that didn't know was the Giants. These are the kind of trades they made in the 70's.
And the jury is still out on Gettleman's drafts the last two years. DG receives a lot of accolades on this board and I don't know why? I will applaud him when and if we improve and win. I would not give him a long leash.
Think Connelly/Davis might be our best starting tandem on the inside.

Even if they chose to ignore the analytics, Wade Phillips didn't want any part of him. That should have been enough for them.
