First off FUCK THE COWBOYS! It's total bull shit we have to open year after year in Their stadium.
Who in the NFL scheduling dept. is Jerreh supplying whores too?? The Refs as well.
Must of us knew where this game was going BUT dam it hurts.
Moving on. The Giants have to win this Sunday!! From a fan stand point, getting on board and excited about our team and the season and from a team stand point, feeling good about all the hard work paying off and believing in each other and the direction the team is headed a win this week will be huge.
Eric made a comment that the Bills game might be a must will IMHO I totally agree. A record of 1-1 right now would give us all hope, 0-2 it'll feel like dam another shit year playing for draft picks.
Don't get me wrong I know there is a lot of season ahead but 0-2 would be devastating.
But given 8-25, it sure feels like it.
But for me as a fan it is not nearly as important as
It has been in other years in regard to my rooting interest. This season is in large part about Daniel Jones.
I ve been an advocate of Eli getting this season. But if they continue to be non competitive, those arguing Eli should have been gone gain credibility
I think Eli gets at least 3 games. But if the Giants are 1-3 after 4 and it includes an ugly home loss to the 'Skins, then I think they'll make a change.
If they're 2-2 after 4 games I think they'll stick with Eli for a while.
[quote] But it distinctly felt just like a continuation of 2017 and 2018. I'm expecting a loss. And I'm expecting total media chaos until DJ starts during the Cards game. And then when he doesn't or does perform well, I'm expecting total media chaos to continue.
Very nice. +1
Having said that, the defense will not be playing the Dallas Cowboys high powered offense with many mega stars and a buff OL. The Bills offense is workmanlike and void of stars, so we should not be overwhelmed like we were in Dallas.
John Brow, Cole Beasley, and Zay Jones are okay......but quite a drop off from Cooper, Gallup, and Cobb.
And now having said all that, I come to Eli Manning. Honestly, I do not believe he is best suited to run Shurmurs offense. It pains me to watch him roll out and he is not that accurate on short-intermediate passes as DJ is. Yes, he has gobs of experience, but look at his stats the past 5 years. Are you impressed? Im not. He will be 39 in a few months. I guess what Im saying is this.....we might lose because he falters when we need him. I hope not though. Lets see.
For now the talk is mostly Eli and the transition to Jones. I actually think if they don't put up a very good showing on offense and much improvement on D then this staff should not be getting a free pass.
Shurmur really needs to start winning imo. He also should be allowed to run the team as he wants but be held accountable for the results. This is not his first rodeo in the big seat.
Definitely brings it closer
Interesting to see to now see BBI littered with, "I expected this" and "It was always a 4-5 year rebuild." Almost as if no one wants to admit what this franchise has been since 2012 (by the way, every team has won the NFCE at least twice since the Giants last playoff victory).

I don't even think it's that simple. I think the job belongs to Eli as long as A) he is still under contract and B) the Giants are still mathematically (somewhat realistically) in contention for the playoffs. If there's any shot at salvaging a winning season still on the table, I think Shurmur is going to ride Eli. Even at 1-3 things are still technically salvageable. Not to mention Eli has become known as "the Brady killer" regardless of what point in his career he's at and I doubt they pull him one week before that showdown.
Take a look at the first 10 weeks leading up to the Bye: Bills, Bucs, Skins, Cardinals, Lions, and Jets are all beatable opponents (that's 6 games), no matter how bad we looked this past Sunday. I believe if we're 5-5 or better at the Bye, Eli will be given a chance to make one last run and push this team into the playoffs. If we're below .500 then I think it will be pretty clear we're out of contention / need to shake things up / need to get a head start on Jones's development and I think that's when you'll see them use the Bye week to usher Jones in. I think the only way we see Jones before then is if we literally only have 1 or 2 wins going into the 2nd Dallas game.
Lol yeh Billy B is just pissing his pants right now.
You know what would kill that tradition? The Giants winning a frikkin opener.
And yet, here you are
The drop off from the Cowboys to Bills on offense should be enough that we can hold them to 20-24 and if we lean on Barkley and Engram we can eek out a win. Trust your talent on offense and don't fall in love with your playbook. We were blowing holes in the Dallas front 7, we just didn't play a smart game. We lose this and it's going to get ugly fast. This team needs confidence, period.
