Your obsession with Darnold is so extreme that it reads as manufactured. As in, to conceal the possibility that you and fanofthejets are actually the same person.
I can hear that conversation....
Anonymous Pats Representative "Ok, we have an offer from the Jets for DT. Its a good offer...but, of course, its the Jets, a fellow member of our division. Not sure about making a trade in division.
Rest Of room: "The JETS? HA HA HA HA HA!!!! Yeah man, put that trade through, its all good:)"
......either NE thinks Thomas is shot, or the Jets think he can still play.
Who's right?
I think both thoughts are true but only one is right and it ain't the team wearing green. No way would BB trade him in Division if he didn't think he was shot.
The Pats get out from under any salary he has, send him to a team who is no threat to them and get a future pick. The Jets fet help at a position of need and keep Thomas from having options (for all we know he might have just said screw it I am done).. The Chiefs lost a WR and maybe could have used Thomas and his knowledge of the Pats, maybe Buffalo, maybe Baltimore or even Tennessee. The Pats essentially kept him from any other contender.
the fork in his back? That the Pats were willing to trade him in-division tells you they think he helps them on the Jets more than on NE. Buyer beware.
Three days after releasing him when they put N'Keal Harry on IR. Didn't see too much of the Jets game, but it didn't look like the WR's fault, think it was Robbie Anderson, when Darnold overthrew him deep late in the game and could have sealed the win.

LOL'd! very good!
Who's right?
Based on the return, a 2021 6th, it sounds like both think he's done.

Perfect Moops!
But a 2021 6th rounder is fairly cheap.

Not really. The Patriots cut him with the intent of re-signing him. I believe it was even discussed with DT prior to the move. Procedural crap.
It's a good gamble for the Jets. A sixth is nothing and there was no room left for DT after the Brown signing.
Does Putin's younger brother have a controlling interest in the Jets? - who knew?
