a dumb ass allowing Cortes to start the 3rd inning. He has a pile of pitchers out there there was no reason to stay with him as long as he did.
I guess he was a dumbass for having Gleyber commit a horrific error in the middle of this shit and Red Thunder making a shitty throw leading to yet another run...

Brilliant observation...there is no reason with all the call ups to have Cortes start the 3rd and then stay in until he gives up 3..

Ummm Cortez faced 3 froggen batters and gave up 2. The defense gave away 4.
Physical error by Gleyber and a mental one by Frazier throwing home. He throws to third and the tying runners don't move up into scoring position.
This is true and a reason why Frazier is doubtful for postseason. Did not hit the cut off - basic little league fundamentals.
Exactly. I'm pulling for him to succeed but he isn't helping his case with things like that. He does that in the post season and it costs us a game.
You'd think something like that would be easier to work on than going back on balls, charging them or any other actual fielding thing. Situational play should be second nature at this level.
I think he wanted to show something there and went for the big splashy play, when he needed to make the smart play.

He was responsible for 4 runs - 2 earned, 2 unearned. He put them on, they are his even if Cessa gave up the hits or the errors happened.

Gotcha so were killing Cortez and Boone because Gleyber pooches an underhand relay from 5 feet away and Big Red airmails the cut-off man.

Did you make that lineup yourself? They'll probably score 12.
Wish they would sit Gardner.
He's out 6-8 weeks. I'm pretty sure that means no Sockman for the playoffs.
Not too shabby for a guy we thought would be the 4th OF. Another fantastic move by Cashman in bringing him back for this year.
Love having Kenny back in the booth too. The guy is the best and always makes the games even more enjoyable for me.

re Tauchman -- the 10-day, I mean?

6 weeks would mean he's out until the world series if we make it. 8 weeks is done for the entire playoffs

No real ability for him to rehab at that point either. Sadly, he’s done.
God bless Gardy. We know we can count on some quality playoff ABs from him

That is amazing the way the Twins built up a huge lead early in the year(and really have not stopped.

NYY are only 2 HR behind the Twins now for all-time record.

Don't forget that we are missing a projected 70 homers from Stanton too.

Ok you win, Boone is not responsible for letting Cortes get hammered before the two errors...
They're going to need to.
He missed the cutoff too....
That’s baseball, Suzyn.

Just picked the wrong team...
Boone not even giving a shit about winning, which is fine with the Astros losing.
He is just giving them all a night off. They got in at 3am. Even the starting lineup is lacking a lot of big names...
Might just go watch the USMNT play Uruguay.
