Yes. Free to sign anywhere he'd like
Now maybe
Gman11 : 9/10/2019 5:18 pm : link
they'll have enough cap space to sign some guy who got cut from a team that's just as bad.

Some undersized corner from Liberty can't be far off.
Simonson will end up on Patriots unless

he's done for year.
Makes sense that they waited to let go of Smith

Wouldn't want him to reveal any secrets to the Cowboys before the game. Any other secrets to reveal other than these three? LOL

1.) If they are in Cover Two go down the middle of the field you'll be wide open

2.) You don't need to roll out as there won't be any pressure on the QB

3.) You don't have to worry about Saquon. The coach will use him a decoy or won't play him when he should

Players with injury settlements can return, but it'd be a while. They can't re-sign with the team for the time of the injury settlement, plus three more weeks. So the injury settlement could essentially serve as the IR/return for someone like Simonson, if that's how it plays out.

I read it was 6 weeks not 3. 3 seems more reasonable though.

Says 3 + time of injury settlement. I interpret the last part to mean that if the injury settlement is for 3 games worth of pay then the player can't re-sign with the giants for 6 weeks (3 + 3 wks settlement)
Yah I’m seeing it in multiple places that it is 6 weeks
rasbutant : 9/10/2019 8:48 pm : link
Overthecap: The player is not allowed to return to the team until the length of the settlement passes plus another 6 weeks.

https://nationalfootballpost.com/what-is-an-injury-settlement/........
Injury settlements can also give a team a chance at getting a player back during that same season. There is a rule in place that the team (agreeing to a settlement) can’t resign that player until a minimum of six weeks passes following the amount of weeks of the initial settlement.

are three more who I expect we could see waived....

TE Isaiah Searight (he was waived/injured long ago but is still on IR, even if Giants.com doesn't show it)

WR Alex Wesley

LB Keion Adams
