In a page right out of the AB playbook:
“Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports that Beckham said on Tuesday that he plans to wear the watch again in Week Two against the Jets. He also said that he feels it is only an issue because he is wearing the watch and that there would be no issue at all if the watch cost $20.
Beckham added that he wants it to be “about football, not the watch.” His approach to making things about football instead of the watch is sure to leave some scratching their head.”
If he pulled this shit here would the fans, staff, and ownership really have patience?

That said, if it's fine for him to wear a watch, why does anyone care? I can't imagine it affects his play, it may be a silly, look at me, thing to do, but ultimately has no bearing on anything.
As they say, it’s all fun and games until someone loses an eye.
And then it’s more fun and games! (And probably a lawsuit, which is fun and games for lawyers.)
Once again he goes above team with this stupid stuff. I agree the catch and madden cover exploded his head. Or maybe he uses the watch to know when it is time to drink water or better yet run to the locker room to get an iv instead during the game

You linking this article is only bumping up his q score and increasing the rate he gets to charge for things like this.

Exactly. Wear watch, get people to talk about OBJ and watch. Mission accomplished.
This is an excellent question, is it a digital watch? Kinda looks like it.
I’m sure the main feature is how bulletproof it is.
Look it can withstand the rigors of a NFL game!
My reaction as well
Clown car is mad that Brown is getting all the attention.
It’s actually 189k
Yep. He never grew up
Then he wouldn't get as much attention.

Can we stop micromanaging the guy's every move Jesus

Actually, it's not really his decision to make. There's a reason why the rules don't allow players to wear them on the field - but he's choosing to ignore them and to it anyway, and then act like a baby when he gets fined for it.
And I don't think the word micromanaging means what you think it means.
Or maybe I’m just imagining things.
Apples to oranges. One is an equipment violation the other is player safety. It'd be like an NFL player trying to take the field without a helmet.
Fines are used to enforce minor, non-performance/safety, infractions in most sports.
I just don't get the mindset and never will. What are they proving?

dont the fines go to charity?
Or players retirement fund?

Yup. Its sad how bad game went to his head. Completely different person.
The funny thing is, he did not take Lebrons advice after that catch. He did the opposite.

Sucking is one thing. Sucking after trading away the greatest receiver the Giants ever had is another.
I wish OBJ all the best, but I've seen nothing to make me think the Giants made a mistake.
