Peppers in summer of 2019 wasn't equivalent to 1st round pick.. he was a throw away so DG can save face..

Thanks for posting. I said it before week one. Why is Hamilton above Ballentine in depth chart? Then, week one he was on field for Baker on some plays. That's on the coaches. That last play he didn't hustle across field to catch up with his man in motion. Then the angle and effort were pathetic. Bench him now.

I'm no scout and neither are the reporters covering the team but in general the reports on Peppers in OTAs and training camp were that he was making plays and when he was out the D suffered. Who knows.

whether the mistake was Peppers or Bethea. It looks like Peppers believed in both that he as covering the player in the Flat and deep help was from someone else

Hamilton on Cobb, on that 3rd & 10 play was cringe-worthy.

I'm not suggesting that play would have made a tremendous difference in the way the rest of the day went, but when you are trying to make up for lack of talent / experience, you've got to tackle and execute. That play was pretty representative of the defense on Sunday.

Bethea was biting too hard on play fakes

whole defense was guilty of it, but most obvious with him as the deepest.

that has him ahead of Ballantine on the depth chart. That's usually the case. He's probably showing a better grasp of things, to the point where he's got more of the coaches' confidence that he won't screw up in games.

On Defense from last year, so we have to give them time to adjust. We just can look that bad against a Buffalo team with a lot less talent than the Cowboys have.
