Talked to new Giants OLB Tuzar Skipper before he was swarmed by a crowd. Couple of interesting tidbits: bag was packed for Foxboro + he was in walk through Saturday when Steelers told him they had to make a roster move to add a gunner.
Was going to be re-signed to 53 Monday.
at 3:45 he received a call from the GM telling him that the Giants claimed him.
It always amazes me that teams just seem to know. Anytime a team trades up for a positional player it usually ends up that guy is pretty good.
Agreed.
Agree on all points. I'm forced to watch every Steelers game since the wife is a fan, and I think they'll be in a very similar situation with Ben as we are with Eli soon. Wouldn't be surprised if the trading of Dobbs for a pick was a step toward drafting Ben's successor in April.

young team, etc. Bush is going to be special, btw.

They drafted Mason Rudolph last year.

Rudolph was a 3rd round pick. It remains to be seen if he is a viable replacement for Roethlisberger when he retires.

IMO, he's their Kyle Lauletta.
Why does he have to learn the playbook? I didn't look like any of our guys last week have learned it yet.
errr, yeah, he runs a 4.8+

While yes, he had an excellent preseason and made an established backup trade bait. So far it's working well for them.
He's 6'3'' and 246 pounds.

40 time is not indicative of a guys quickness
James Harrison was 6'0, 242 lbs. I doubt his 40 is much either.
