Think its pretty shitty the Mets leaked his request too. Not sure what that's about. Trying to paint him in a negative light again? Its really not uncommon for star pitchers to request a catcher. And Syndergaard has been one of the most elite pitchers in baseball since he's entered the league in 2015.
but since this is about Dodgers/Mets. The Mets are now second in team wRC+ and team FIP in the NL. That makes this series a battle between the #1 and #2 teams in both categories.
Kinda fun. Nationals and Braves are both right there in those categories too.
but the most annoying part about it...last yr BVW instructs JDG to demand Nido, and he gets it through a huge chunk of the season...and of course CY Young
Even if it really is just incidental & they are pros so should just sack up, that's a real hypocritical way to treat Thor who certainly could be / is a top SP just the same
And tho it's a tougher decision given Ramos' bat of late, seems like they might have played Nido a bit more early season as it wasn't just Thor (at least JDG early this season as well)

the catchers should tell him they are uncomfortable catching for Diaz.
Race tight or what? Im not a Mets fan but I’ve been watching this. I thought they were dead after the 6 game losing streak. They’re 2 back now with 5 teams fighting for the 2 spot. Somehow the Mets are still very much in this.
Dodgers are showing major cracks, especially in SP and Cody Bellinger is already beginning to choke like he usually does in September. Dodgers miss Muncy a lot so I think Mets will rise the wave here and definitely beat old man Kershaw, who has not been pitching well of late.
Buehler does not pitch as well on the road and stick a fork in Ryu, he is done. The only one to be concerned about is one of their two kids they brought up....Gonsolin and May. Both have great stuff and big arms that are not tired.
Depending on pitching match ups, Mets win definitely 2, most likely 3 if Kershaw, Buehler, and Ryu.

Can you share the drugs that you are on? TIA
What did I say that sounds “out there and unrealistic” to you? I can respond to that better.
Their rotation has struggled lately though, especially Ryu. Kershaws been good but isn’t going deep into games.
Mets are getting hot and healthy at the right time. They might finish the season with everyone back except Cespedes which is amazing when you think about it.
I’m really concerned about the Dodger offense. It’s ridiculous and they keep plugging in guys who are playing out of their minds! Max Muncy, Will Smith, Gavin Lux? These guys are killing it.

If it were May, I would be ok with the decision cuz you can’t let the inmates run the asylum
But this is a pennant race. All that matters is winning. If Thor wants a catcher, give him the guy

That's what's being reported.

Oh, okay.....well that helps them a bit......but still not nearly enough to win the series. Mets, Mets, Mets.....
