Blaming Gettleman for Carolina's loss yesterday is one of the most idiotic things he has twatted. Especially since the RB DG drafted is one of the BEST in the league.

On the flip side, Todd Bowles’ Bucs D just held an offense built around a Dave Gettleman 1st-round RB & a QB who won’t run to 14 points. So... Guess we’ll see.
has resulted in a 5 and 12 record so far for the Giants. And, in the last two years when Carolina had the best running back on the field (every game but the Giants) they're now 6 and 11. Maybe it is not 1970 anymore.

I don't really understand why people look at Barkley like an either/or proposition as if we've needed to mortgage the entire team otherwise in order to have drafted him.
Barkley is a major positive. But if people are expecting he alone to carry the Giants to 11-12 wins when the defense can't stop a nosebleed and we still have talent deficiencies that need addressing, I'm not sure what sport they've been watching all these years.
Football is synergistic. Take any position on the field - pick whichever one you feel is the absolute most important. Then, surround that guy with a bad team and they're going to be, well.. bad.
People continue to focus on Barkley when Barkley isn't the problem.
Barkley wasn't in the secondary that spent the entire game running around like chickens with their heads cut off in Dallas, nor is he an edge rusher. He can only do what he can do. He didn't get the ball nearly enough on Sunday, and hopefully the coach learns really fast that it can't happen again. Dallas had zero answers for him.
Barkley's contract is not prohibitive right now and is not keeping us from being a good football team.
offensive player in the NFL. He can't do it all alone though. It's also not his fault Shurmur hardly utilized him week 1. Once the defense improves and if Jones is as good as hoped we will see at least one league MVP award for Barkley.
Was great, he through some balls downfield that were absolutely on the money. Perfect. DAk WON the game every bit as much as our secondary lost it. Dak made big plays that resulted in TDs. I want that, not Dak, but big plays that result in TDs.

Sterling Shepard stretching with team again prior to practice, but that’s all we’ll get to see today. Won’t get true sense of his availability until later when Pat Shurmur gives us injury report and game designations.
Cody Latimer (calf) also stretching. DNP yesterday. #NYGiants

Cherry pick much? Carolina was 11-5 in 2017 with McCaffrey.
Some of you people are ridiculous.

Dallas has also been pretty damn successful since they drafted Elliott. They were 4-12 the year before that with McFadden.
The way people continually pinpoint Barkley as the crux of the organizational failures is exhausting and ridiculous.
The Giants have a bunch of problems. Saquon is not one of them.
In top 4 rd every draft for the next few yrs, maybe even double up one of those yrs
Just to make sure Saquon ability is exploited best as possible
Our oline looks not bad so far( and on paper) but over next two Years probably need to revamp most of it
Keep talent coming in unless our prior GM who would draft a stiff mid reds and hope he would score on a udfa

Carolina is up and down because their QB is the most overrated QB in the league. He’s erratic, temperamental, injury prone, and limited as a passer in the NFL. Carolina’s issues have nothing to do with McCafrey.

And the Rams went to the SB with Gurley. May have won too if he was actually healthy.

or bring back Zo Russel. If Lattimer can't go they are not really short at WR.
They just added TJ Jones because of Shepard's injury. I would love to see them cut Tanney and add Reggie White Jr. but I doubt they add another WR with Shepard returning next week.

Isn't that why calling this a "must" game is sorta silly?
If it's to keep interest - or stave off Jones taking over as QB - then yeah it's a must win.
The must part of this game is looking like a football team and playing competitively.

Questionable: WR Cody Latimer (calf)
