NFT: Help With Watches

Spike13 : 9/13/2019 11:34 am
Was going through some old watches yesterday, and found an “Omega, Constellation,” w/ original Crocodile band (it was a barter), as well as an “Alpina, Sub-Tropic.” Both watches are Swiss made, with raised inlay. I am as naive as they get with these items. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance BBI,
I will give 5% of sales to the “Contribution Campaign.”
Thanks for all you do Eric. 20 + years here, started out viewing “Pete’s Corner,” in 96 or 7.

If your in NY try Wempe Jewlery on 5TH Ave
They have an extensive used watch collection and will give you a decent idea of what their value is
Good Luck

First, you're going to need more information than brand and model name. Don't know how much additional information you have, but if you can get more specific (year, serial #, etc.) you can put that information into a google search and get some value approximations. If you don't/can't find any other information, do a google image search on make/model and try to find the watch that look like yours, get the information and google it.

Second, reselling depends greatly on the condition of the watch and whether or not you have the original papers and case. The link below is to a watch reseller (Bernard Watch) that I've used before.

Finally, if the person who the watches belonged to was a close relative or friend, consider keeping them. They are good watches (especially the Omega) and there's something to be said about remembering someone through a watch. I hope my kids keep my watches when that eventual day (hopefully far in the future) comes.

By the way, very nice gesture to share part of the proceeds with the site!

You can search comparable watches @ chrono24.com and see what they are going for. This site sort of sets the value for used watches.
Thank You
