understanding is that the Bills had the #1 pass defense last year. They should focus on containing Barkley and Engram, and blitz Eli a lot, especially since he's completely immobile. If they can contain both, we may see a repeat of last year when the offense moved in micrometers and the field seemed 200 yards long. That is somewhat less likely since the OL has clearly improved, but it's still a distinct possibility.
This is why Eli is still the starter ... because he can make any average WR look good ... case in point Tyree, Manningham and a host of other nobodies he’s had to endure.
And if he doesn’t, it will be all his fault.
And probably will be, even with Shepard and Tate. Without them, I'm pining for the glory days of Derek Hagan, Michael Clayton and a one-legged Mario Manningham.

is a great opportunity for any BBI member who has a Walter Mitty fantasy about playing WR for the Giants.
Here are your WRs this Sunday:
Cody Latimer.
T.J. Jones.
Benny Fowler.
Russell Shepard.
Cody Core.
OL played great against Dallas last week, our guys can get open. Honestly, Eli still doesn't pull the trigger to guys wide open right in his passing lane sometimes. What sucks is, its always on 3rd or 4th down when he apparently can't see right in front of him (TE last week)

Manningham was eight years ago. The days of him making other players look better than they really are are long gone.
missing our top 3 wide receivers: Tate, Shep, Latimer. So the Bills top-notch defense only has to defend Saquon and Engram. We probably shouldn't be too upset when we see Eli not being able to go deep this game.
But I would love to see TJ's brother (Malachi Jones) get a workout. He's dominated the Arena League, helped lead Albany to an Arenabowl win, and was very good in the AAF. Tough, explosive, great hands...and a great background story. It's easy to root for this kid:

Nobody but luck made Tyree look good as a WR, and since when was Manningham a nobody? Certainly not in college.
Maybe now that Shurmur has seen that the OLine gives Eli Â
This is the type game where experimenting is worth it. Dude runs a 4.4 and is not a great blocker. On this team, with this lineup. If there is a guy who runs that fast and catch, bigger than most corners and Dbs, you try that out more now than ever. Put a blocker in Engram's spot and see what happens.
He would have a golden opportunity with Shepard and Tate out.
Let's just hope that Latimer plays otherwise this game will be very ugly with Russell Shepard, Bennie Fowler, TJ Jones, and Cody Core going against last years top ranked pass defense.
Wish Slayton hadn't been banged up. Hopefully he'll be ready to.

Slayton was also ruled out

#NYGiants game statuses for Sunday:
Out: WR Sterling Shepard (concussion), WR Darius Slayton (hamstring), TE Garrett Dickerson (quad)
Questionable: WR Cody Latimer (calf)
If you were expecting a #1 WR, that's your own fault.

Cody Latimer said he routes in practice but not full speed. He will know in warmups if he can play . #giants
And if he doesn’t, it will be all his fault.
Who is this "Saquon Barkley" of whom you speak?
And if he doesn’t, it will be all his fault.
Are you referring to the current version of Eli?

I'd rather see Fowler.

I'd take a good #2, but he's not that either.
Hope the defense wakes up . . .

Based on what? This team's exceptional ability to throw the ball the last few years?
And if he doesn’t, it will be all his fault.

LOL. it would be great if all of our receivers went out wearing watches.
they will have this weekend, yikes!
Sounds like a second-rate body transformation instructor name
