A few notes on the line:
* Bills are -2 (home team typically gets 3 points so Vegas thinks Bills are 5 points better).
* Line opened at -2.5 and dropped down to -1.5 before the Shepard news.
* Betting is pretty even, 56% of bets (not money) on Bills
Reading the board it seems like people here think the Bills are a lock.
Haha, so true
Did I mention L O V E . . . . .

I love the eagles. Atlanta’s o line is terrible. Ryan is getting the Eli treatment.
To the Pats AT Miami !

Bills 24, Giants 17
But on the bright side, the most glaring thing looking at the board is a ton of tickets on the Cowboys, but the line has moved the other way. Pros like the Skins to cover 6.

Yeh the Giants are a prime candidate for a teaser leg, home dog of 2, but I couldn't include them today. Our history vs running QBs is worrisome. Connelly starting is encouraging, but his shoe string tackles won't get it down against him. And who knows how our offense does against that defense. I think they are too good on all levels for us just to say we are going to establish the run, and who the fuck are we going to throw to?
But that's where I usually stop and start questioning the obvious. And then go the other way...
So I'm going over and expecting some craziness in the 4th quarter.
Sterling - this is a surprising statement. I know the D looked unprepared last week, but please explain why you feel this way.
Vegas sets lines trying to get as close to 50/50 betting as possible.

You must have been wearing rose colored glasses the last 60 years. They have played many, many games over the years where they had far less chance of winning than they do today.

I don't know how many times this needs to be disputed. Sure the anticipated public action will sway the opening line a point or two, but if they just set lines based on what they thought they were getting 50/50 pros would hammer them. There are plenty of times where books will set a line to grab a ton of public action and feel completely comfortable leaving it there because they believe the line will go the other way. It isn't all about 50/50 action.
1 to 2 isn't that big of deal. I think its because the Giants were probably a popular teaser choice at 1.5 2
