NFT: Bluejays' Mayza injury ...

Manny in CA : 9/14/2019 12:56 pm
Anybody see his arm collapse against the Yankees last night. Immediate intense pain, as he went to his knee.

Equally alarming was the Jay's trainer's & manager's disregard for his player's well being. Here' his pitcher writhing in pain, after what seemed like an eternity, he finally sends somebody out to see what's wrong.

Never seen anything like that; all major league pitching coaches watch their guys like hawks, and send the trainer out, if they notice the most minor glitch.
Disregard..

for his well-being??

Guy hurts his arm and is crouched down. Was he in some immediate danger?

You really have some strange takes. There's likely nothing impactful that comes out of rushing to the mound. He's not bleeding or struggling to breathe.

It is like saying a NFL trainer that doesn't rush out onto the field to treat an ACL is being negligent.

Tell me what the trainer could have done differently to change the outcome or mitigate the end result. You can't.
The delayed reaction ...

Was what was troubling to me that's all.
I don’t

See an undue delay in the reaction of the trainer or manager.
Bad take

The trainer was sent out immediately. No idea what you're watching. I've seen guys laying on a football field unconscious without anyone taking notice longer that it took that trainer to get to the pitcher.

yup and the manager came out promptly though he has a nice tire around his midsection and so it takes some time to arrive

Needed ice ASAP

As everyone knows, if it doesn't get ice right away, might as well amputate.

Kid as writhing in pain, and the trainer non nonchalantly trots out. Definitely a weird reaction from the bench.
