Never seen anything like that; all major league pitching coaches watch their guys like hawks, and send the trainer out, if they notice the most minor glitch.

You really have some strange takes. There's likely nothing impactful that comes out of rushing to the mound. He's not bleeding or struggling to breathe.
It is like saying a NFL trainer that doesn't rush out onto the field to treat an ACL is being negligent.
Tell me what the trainer could have done differently to change the outcome or mitigate the end result. You can't.
