Need some roster advice.

Which QB:

Lamar Jackson vs ARI
Russel Wilson @ PIT

Leaning Jackson but Brady torched PIT (in NWE though).

Which PPR Flex:

Hockenson vs LAC
Christian Kirk @BAL
Carlos Hyde vs JAX
Hollywood Brown vs ARI
Courtland Sutton vs CHI
DK Metcalf @PIT
Amendola vs LAC

Seems like pretty much all the same, decent upside, nothing guaranteed. I like Hockenson to get targets, but also see appeal of Brown if I start Lamar or DK if I start Wilson.

Any suggestions?
Yeah that's a tough choice overall
ChaChing : 9/14/2019 3:53 pm : link
QB-wise I think it has to be Lamar. I get playing against the pass game vs Pit, but RW is a similar floor lower ceiling consistency aside

Flex:
-Brown's very low plays / routes run is tough to swallow, as well as few pass attempts, to play him so soon
-Kirk & Sutton have tough matchups. Even w/ high volume I think it's tough sledding
-Hyde is just a low bet & matchup

+Hock sounds good. Matchup is ok (LAC 14th TE pts 2018) and you'd think similar if not more volume from here
+DK most big play ability, but maybe lowest vol. Should be 1b if not 1a for Wilson (esp w/ TL's back issue)
+Amendola is low floor & ceiling. Fine, but you better have big score potential elsewhere (LAC 5th WR pts 2018)

For me it's Hock or DK. I might go w/ the bigger play ability in DK so low vol can still be efficient, but I could see either. Both should get a ton of RZ chances too. Amendola is the least but supposedly & unsurprisingly Stafford's security blanket, so you gotta like his floor, otherwise has a low ceiling / is TD dependent. Both O's are supposed to be high run, low pass so no distinction there. With that and vs PIT, for me it'd be DK
Thanks CC

similar to the way I'm leaning. Appreciate the reply.
Lamar Jackson and Hockenson

I think Wilson threw the ball 20 times last game.

yeah, I had him as my QB, I was lucky to squeak out a win. It would have hurt if I lost with Jackson and his 5 TD's on my bench.

only worse thing was Diggs, getting 2 targets, and Cousins had 10 total passes (in a W no less).

thank you Robbie.
My flex options:
ChaChing : 9/14/2019 9:01 pm : link
AJones v MN - MN shut down DFreeman last wk, aside from AJ's struggles v Chi
Fitz v Bal - tough matchup, but lots of pass attempts
Landry v NYJ - great matchup, but IMO JL is lower ceiling of course
Metcalf v PIT - uncertain vol, good matchup, possible #1 w/ big play ability, score chasing?

Most will get RZ looks fwiw. Who would you pick?
Also straight up: Would you drop Landry for Kirk?
ChaChing : 9/14/2019 9:12 pm : link
I have JJSS TY Fitz DK Hardman

Or instead: I'm more interested in an RB and considered trading JL for injured TColeman - so I get something for JL, a halfway decent RB I can stash on IR (still backup so I might keep him there after he's healthy) then grab another player. Also we have direct add/drop from IR. Then add Kirk (tho after next game / waivers) or an RB like Mostert, RJones or Mattison. Tho all this will go down next week once TC is officially out to be sure
Wilson and Metcalf
WillVAB : 9/14/2019 9:48 pm : link
SEA-PIT sets up as a better game script than BAL-AZ. Game projects for more points and a higher implied point total for SEA than BAL. PIT is good vs the run and SEA is terrible vs the pass. This looks like a game SEA is going to have to throw to keep up. Metcalf and Lockett are Wilson’s primary receiving options so a stack sets up nicely for you if Wilson goes off.

Jackson-Brown is ok but it feels like chasing last week’s production. BAL is a 12.5 point favorite in a relatively low game total. That screams Ingram not Jackson-Brown to me.
Jackson isn't going to get to play Miami every week
PatersonPlank : 9/14/2019 9:50 pm : link
He will come back down to earth in production
Makes sense. I was leaning toward DK for much the same reasons
ChaChing : 9/14/2019 9:55 pm : link
Fitz volume-wise might be out front. Also even w/ lesser O from Bal, it could end up a heavy pass game by the 2nd half for AZ. Still it could be zero O, and I might err to DK's big play ability (and the fact that SEA's 20 passes was a likely low water mark tho it's a run heavy O, while AZ's 51 are not likely either). Landry's a fine backup but that's it atm

I like AJones, but even wk 1 was thinking of keeping him out vs Chi, and now MN is another tough one

Thanks

Fitz should be fine this week. AZ should be playing from behind and BAL is without both starting corners.
Ah didn't know that...
ChaChing : 9/14/2019 10:18 pm : link
then with that info, w/ JJSS is locked in pick 2:

TY, DK, Fitz (Landry, AJones)

IMO it's still TY as he has big play AND vol. Then maybe Fitz because fwiw - last few yrs he hasn't gone past 37yd long. Last game he had (2) 40+. Plus vol. Course he's not likely to go 80 yds which the other 2 are but still

tougher one now!
Jackson
bradshaw44 : 9/14/2019 10:25 pm : link
Not only because he’s hot and going against a shitty D, but Wilson is traveling cross country and will be three hours behind.
DK Metcalf
BigBlueShock : 9/14/2019 10:44 pm : link
Out of curiosity, where is all this love for DK Metcalf coming from? I’ve seen it on this board for the past two weeks. I’m not judging, I’m just curious as to what everyone else knows that I don’t? The guy was thought of to be a huge project with a fairly high bust potential coming into the league and he had 1 catch for 8 yards in week 1. He seems absolutely unstartable to me until he proves something. Yet each day I open a fantasy thread, people are recommending starting him. What am I missing?

Metcalf went 4 for 89 off 6 targets in week 1. 2nd most targets on the team behind Carson. Not sure where you’re getting your stats from.

Ah your stats are way off
ChaChing : 9/14/2019 10:50 pm : link
not huge volume, but

6tgts, 4rec, 89 yds. also 4 more tgts than Lockett. Already #2 officially, but w/ his athleticism & potential, pretty interesting

Tho the weak OL kept RW off balance quite a bit. So there was a gameflow consideration. And of course, it's a heavy run O. So while 20 pass attempts was likely the low bar, it's going to be fewer overall attempts on avg w/ many more going to Carson than b4
Also w/ no TEs or other WRs
ChaChing : 9/14/2019 10:52 pm : link
and RW's love of JG when he was here, there's a lot of potential in the RZ. Just DK is 4.3 spd to boot and can play the jump ball well

speculation but there's legit smoke
other WRs
ChaChing : 9/14/2019 10:52 pm : link
outside of Lockett, of course (Jaron Brown, Moore...not much)

Ah, shoot, my apologies. You’re right. I pulled up the week one stats and apparently it gave me week one of the preseason. I’ll run along now...
pj - I am going Wilson again this week
Jimmy Googs : 9/14/2019 11:03 pm : link
not happy about last week but will give it another go.

I like Hock, Brown and Hyde as well...
Should I start Antonio Brown today?
djm : 9/15/2019 11:20 am : link
Ppr— i can start Fournette, Lockett, Robert Woods or Chris Thompson.

This is one tough call. How do you sit brown? With Brady at qb no less... just don’t know how much he plays. I think I’m going brown but it’s a tough call.
I started AB
Jimmy Googs : 9/15/2019 11:30 am : link
but havent seen anything as to how much he will play. Have you all?
All I have seen is Brown
pjcas18 : 9/15/2019 12:10 pm : link
will dress, not sure how much he'll play.

Anyone starting Mixon today?

I can move Carson to RB from flex and add one of my WR's as flex (non-PPR)

Valdes-Scantling vs MIN
Dede Westbrook @HOU
Devin Singletary @NYG
Mercole Hardman @OAK

So basically would you play any of the above in non-ppr over a less than 100% Mixon?

Trying to figure out if I want Hockenson in my flex against a tough
Zeke's Alibi : 9/15/2019 12:36 pm : link
Chargers or take flyer on Mecole Hardman in .5 ppr
I'm starting Mixon.....i think he gets 15 touches he practiced Friday
Zeke's Alibi : 9/15/2019 12:37 pm : link
49ers dline is set up more for pass rush.
