NFT: Scheduling Uber ride in advance.

Got an early morning flight on Monday so I want to get to the airport in enough time. I booked an Uber ride that says it'll arrive between 315 & 325, but Googling it makes me worried that this is more hit & miss than I'd like. Has anyone used Uber to schedule a ride in advance? Is it reliable? Or should I just use a local taxi company? Thanks.

I book Ubers for 5AM for a 6:50 flight from the city to JFK regularly and have never had an issue. Granted Uber is as or more reliable as a cab in Manhattan.

Depending on the reliability of Uber where you live, I'd base it on that.

This is going to be super location dependent, where I live I wouldn't

even stress it but if you live somewhere where ther aren't that many Uber drivers are it could be tough. You are also in no man's land unless the bars in your area close at 3.

That 3-5 am window may be tough....too early for commuters to late

That was time I scheduled an Uber for 6 weeks ago Showedup on time for me but that driver told me Uber drivers have a 15 minute window before or after time set to show up.

I've done it a few times for early morning flights. 4/5am and never had an issue. that said, I'm sure people have had issues. I'd say just give yourself an extra 15 minutes or so in case, so you can request another Uber if the driver bails.

and frequent in your area? If so then you should be fine. I�ve scheduled for that time many times without issue, even while on vacation out of state and out of the country. Like some others have said give yourself some extra time in the morning just in case, but it shouldn�t be an issue though.

I haven't had an issue. From what one driver told me - they have an algorithm for drivers in your proximity to be notified about 30 minutes before the ride - and they have minutes to respond.

So far I have always made my early flights (typically picked up around 4:30 - 5am). I can't say the same for Taxi services however!

FYI, leaving Oceanside to San Diego airport.
