My kid was being recruited - didn't work out - by the Kennesaw St baseball team. We were down there for a visit back in August. Stayed in the Marietta area.

Yep, Marietta is right next door. Does his have other opportunities bw?

Yes, we are still working on a few things. But it's a grind. He's at a prospect event this weekend with my wife in St. Petersburg, FL and hit a dinger in his game. So hopefully that caught some more eyes...
But D1 baseball is very competitive with limited scholarships. And Jud is not a top 500 kid. But he's a very productive power alley LHH. So that has some asset value.

KSU is in both Kennesaw and Marietta. They just got $2.5M to upgrade their baseball facilities. The project is slated to cost $7M.

Where do you see Ruggs III going in the draft? Do you like him more than Jeudy?
Both are top 10 talents.
But Ruggs is a legit sub 4.3 guy with decent size. If he consistently catches the ball this year, he will likely be ahead of Jeudy.
Sy, if the giants have the option of getting a pass rusher like Chase Young, or a receiver like Jeudy or Ruggs, who would you take? I take Young and with the depth of wr class, could probably find one in rd2.
Found a really good joint in Marietta for burgers and beers - Stockyard Burgers. Not sure how close you are but it's pretty damn solid...
That is a good joint...nice that you found it. The thing to get there is the meatloaf sandwich...tremendous. Wife likes the grilled shrimp n grits too.
Googs, I live in Roswell too. I watched a bunch of the game at Loyal Tavern.
Good deal. I popped in there once but don't really frequent it to watch games as i need to focus when the Giants and Georgia are playing. How do you like it?
Been living here for about a year since moving from... Â

I love Jeudy and Ruggs would look great in blue also but in this scenario they have to go with the pass rusher who is also rated higher than both WR's. I would be thrilled with any of those three though.
Thats on the Delaware River...right? Basically Pennsylvania.
Exactly. Easton, PA - home of Larry Holmes - is right across the river.
Phillipsburg HS, where I went, has a huge cross state rivalry with Easton HS, specifically football and wrestling. The football game is play every Thanksgiving at Lafayette College. Rivalry is about 115 years old.
They played this incredible 7-7 tie in 1993. In 2009, the Mannings brother were honorary captains for the replay of the game. Check out the link.
Najee Harris' TD run yesterday was some real man shit. He's the next Bama RB that is going to show out and make waves. He's been trapped behind Damien and Josh but they've both graduated and cleared the way for him. I expect him to have a fantastic season.
I don't know if I see Ruggs eclipsing Jeudy this year, but we'll see.
Clemson, unfortunately, is still ahead of us... and if we have another rematch, they'll beat us again.
I know when Bama loses a player, most of the reactions are "oh, boo-hoo, they'll just have the next 5-star recruit step in and won't miss a beat" but losing Dylan Moses was a big deal.
The final score says Bama trounced SC, but there were some issues on both sides of the ball and I don't have the same faith in the defense shutting down the big boys that I had in other Saban years.
Yep. We have some issues there. They'll be able to overpower most opponents anyway, but unless Clemson falters somewhere.. if Bama is even fortunate enough to get back to the Natl. Championship game again, they just don't match up well.
It might not even take Clemson, honestly. We'll see how it plays out.
I could see it. Georgia steamrolled Ark St. yesterday - caught a little bit of that game. Obviously the competition isn't very tough, but they looked good.
The OL play was pretty good for Bama yesterday. And getting the WR's the ball in space is definitely where a lot of our big plays are coming from.
Forristall has some big shoes to fill. Howard and Smith Jr. were really good TE's and safety valves for Hurts/Tua in recent years. So far, the TE play hasn't really factored into the passing attack a whole lot. Not sure if that's more of an indictment on the actual players or just that the WR's are so strong that's where there are open windows and big play potential.

Saw where Alfano may transfer. Death of his grandfather apparently through him in a tailspin
Clemson is beatable this year. That D is not the same as last year (how could it be?). And Lawrence is just off for some reason...
RE: My nephew just started at Lafayette this fall Â
Have no idea how SC completed that TD pass...
Like watching the Bama 4x100 track team...
#11 WR Henry Ruggs III

Was McKinney the S who got spun around on the TD?
Ruggs is the real deal. A legit game breaker. I think he ran a 4.25...

Mckinney went to high school with kids here in Roswell, GA. Nice player...
Really tough to beat the top teams when the refs intercede

They were both holds. Naturally, Bama gets the benefit of the call/no call both times...

Don't know if the knee was down, but the clock running was ridiculous

Tough call. Cannot believe they didnt stop everything to take a look.
Tide lucks out again...sickening for a UGA fan
You are right...just rooting for a game that makes Bama uncomfortable for a change... ;)

Should be a home somewhere for a good power LHH.
Good luck to ya'll in your search!

You were right next door to an awesome sushi place, Thaicoon and a block away from one of Alton Brown's hangouts The Butcher and the Baker.

Large pieces of fresh fish and the occasional grilled hamachi collar. Sat at the sushi bar next to Kevin Cronin one night.

Great school. My son's teammate committed there for baseball.
I was accepted but it was too damn close to home... ;)
