You guys are completely going overboard with this WR stuff. These guys are probably below league average but between Barkley, Engram, and these guys they will be fine. Latimer went 3 for 74 last week and Fowler went 4 for 40. They can get open.
It’s not ideal, but you guys are acting like they may as well throw a couple of BBIers out there and there wouldn’t be a difference. Good lord man
a rabid fans (1993ish) was when Chris Calloway was the best WR on the team. Calloway himself was a solid 'move the chains' guy but had no other pro level WR on the team.
don't have any stars, and arguably nobody who should be starting in the NFL, but a bunch of guys good enough to be backups in the NFL. That's not like playing a bunch of street free agents. Backups play all the time. You don't want to be playing backups at 2 or 3 positions, but that happens in the NFL.
It's a weird situation. Not good, but not quite as bad as it seems. Would you like these guys starting? No. Are there any of these guys who are flat-out terrible? No.
RE: RE: What we're putting out on the field today Â
No, you should go that far. Simms was handcuffed with lousy receivers for most of his career, and the one time he got a halfway decent one (Sherrard) he went off until MS was injured.

This. The players Phil had to work with was staggeringly bad. But Parcells did not want to throw, just run and if necessary hit Bavaro for a 1st down.
I wouldn't go that far.

To the receivers Simms had , I think Eli can win with these guys. Thank goodness the O line has been retooled

If any of the following players in their prime were on this roster right now:
Stephen Baker, Mark Ingram v1, Odessa Turner, Lionel Manuel, and Phil McConkey
They would be the #1 WR in today's game by a huge margin.

is still better than what Phil Simms had.

What do you like about Latimer?
Lol, that not what he does.
