Eli was ineffective.
With the team playing this bad, Eli is ineffective and seemingly irrelevant to the outcomes of games.
I hesitate to put Jones in with these WR's, but there's nothing to lose at this point. This team is clearly going nowhere, so might as well get some meaningful game time in for Jones.
Put me in the start Jones camp. I'll still root for Manning as long as he's starting, but am ready to see what we have with Jones.
So come in and take your shots. There appears to be a certain level of glee happening right now, and I guess it's well deserved? Whatever. I want what's best for the Giants and that appears to me to be to get Jones in there now.

I disagree. Benching Eli for Jones tells me the staff is willing to waste $20M+ in order to just win. One would expect DJ to perform better than Eli, not worse.
He'll be boo'd on the field and ridiculed in the media. He'll be benched, and leave the team with a losing record. He'll never win another game as a Giant, and will wind up with a career losing record.

The defense is an abomination. Absolutely zero pass rush from an organization that has prided itself on getting after the QB. JAG LBs. A ton of picks and trades in the secondary and none of them are worth a shit.
The ‘19 draft set this team back a minimum of 3 years even if Jones is good. Wasted picks on corners who aren’t worth a shit. OL still in flux. Zero top end pass rushers in the pipeline when truly elite pass rushers ever hit FA.
This is a bum ass roster with a bum ass HC with no hope for the future. Maybe if they get enough top 10 picks they’ll land a passrusher before Barley turns 30.

Nobody thought this team would compete this year and it was a joke if the front office thought they could. They basically set Manning up for failure by taking away weapons but he really hasn't done himself any favors the first two weeks. It's been the same story for the last 4 years on offense and there has only been one constant.

The athletic did an article where they asked NFL Front office personnel to rate the QB.. Eli was rated behind, Dalton and Flaco.. this idea that Eli is average over the past 2+ years is nuts..
