Clearly frustration building w/Giants defense. “When you got time and get no pressure, I can’t cover nobody for 10 seconds?” Janoris Jenkins said. “Who can cover somebody for 10 seconds?” When Lorenzo Carter was asked about QBs having too much time, he said: “Sh**, it’s true.”

Angry Jackrabbit: "We have to make some changes, we have to make fixes. Everybody has to make corrections. Like I said, he can’t just stand back there and pat the ball with no pressure."

"I can’t cover nobody for 10 secs. Who can cover somebody for 10 secs? Go look at the first 5 seconds of the route, he’s not open. If there ain't no pressure, what do you want me to do? I can’t cover this side & that side. Like, come on, bro. You gotta play football around here."

"It’s the same thing, man. He’s sitting there patting the ball. We have to get pressure on him. Second half we made adjustments. If we give any quarterback 5, 8 seconds in the pocket, he’s going to find open receivers. It’s football. "
But Gettleman will trade him before this gets fixed.

Probably for an 8th rounder and a bottle of TUMS.
Antonio Brown is the biggest asshole, diva lunatic in the game. Yet his teams ALWAYS win.
No, Jack Rabbit will be gone, even if he is right. But the rush was much better this week than last. They could have had 6 sacks if it wasn't for Allen running for his life.
But I understand the glee of all the "I told you so" posters.
This shit will continue to happen
Just because Beckham wasn't the only problem doesn't mean he wasn't a problem. Good riddance to that asshole.
Let's keep this shit on the rails shall we?
The Giants had the best edge rush they've had in a few years today. Carter, Golden, and Ximines had nice shots at the QB, and had 3 combined sacks.
Shows once again it's the number of isolated sacks from the edge, it's really about the percentage of snaps and general pressure out on the QB.
I don't see Hill or Lawrence breaking into the pocket much at all.

Jenkins deserved the gameball last game, he was setting the edge and making the tackles, a tall task for a man press corner.
It was Peppers turn to get steamrolled by a 2nd level guard and poorly set edges this week.
Yes yes, if only we still had Beckham throwing tantrums on the sidelines. That would fix us right up. Damn them old fashioned Giants!
But I'd rather hear that than "we'll go back to the drawing board, prepare hard and compete hard next week. We are close, just need to execute better."
Lose, repeat, lose, repeat.

The culture is set by ownership. Keep recycling coaches and GMs because Mara is comfortable with them. Get rid of talented players cause they don’t fit the old school Giant ways. Let sentiment not hard judgements impact personnel decisions on the field and mgt. I have no faith Giants can compete with smarter and more aggressive owners and GMs as long as Mara is in charge.

A predictable response. Mara knows his fan base.
No, instead we can watch both sides of the ball load their pants.
I'm not sure that I entirely agree with you, but this coaching staff has a track record of excuse-making. Last year Shurmur was real hot to point out that he took over a 5-win team the previous year.
I saw the same thing, it prompted me to post that maybe the culture above the players isn't the greatest either. Everyone keeps talking rebuild and the mess they found, how other people need to do a better job. There's always some redirection at play, and it seems as if they're resolved to this being a losing campaign and that not being that big a deal. That's not the way to rebuild.
Think this was play that got JJ riled. Brown had time to sell him on a deep route, then come way back to make the catch.
Was a key point in the game; got the Bills off the goal line after the downed punt, and a few plays later they finished off the 98 yard TD drive.
If you think he has been terrible, why do you think he has trade value?
Lol so he sucks, but a change of scenery is going to improve a cornerback's play? He's 30, if he has been bad he has no trade value. The only issue is he hasn't been bad. Targeted last week 7 times he gave up 33 yards in a game where the QB threw for 400. Today he gave up a couple first down, but he was from bad today.
But talent is irreplaceable. And talent is the source of our problems.
Eli is done. And we have no edge rushers. We traded away all our edge talent (JPP, Vernon, Kennard, Okwara) and in return we got BJ Hill and Zeitler. Not a great resource swap.
We do have cap space going forward though. And edge and OL should be the priority for that.
