Thank you Eli, but it’s time.

Section331 : 9/15/2019 5:45 pm
Certainly not all Eli’s fault, but he’s far from blameless. I went to games for years, and the one thing you could count on was if Eli had a WR outside in single coverage, he was going that way. It could be a product of Shurmur’s offense, but he missed a bunch of chances today.

Yes, his WR’s suck, they get no separation. But this team stinks, so why not see what we have in Jones? And we need to pump the breaks on how much Gettleman has upgraded the talent. Right now, I don’t see it.
I agree, for no other reason

Than this team is going nowhere and what the fuck is the point of playing him? Eli isn’t the major problem on this team, but they aren’t winning, so put the kid in
Agree

Not his fault, but let Jones go in there and get some experience. This season is over.
Agree with the above.

At this point, they might as well let DJ have his growing pains this season rather than wait for next season.

The best argument I can think of for keeping him on the bench going forward (aside from "Eli's the starter" and he's Eli, so, yeah) is that there's no one for him to throw to, and he'll end up running a lot, and they don't want him running now. So maybe Week 5. But what the hell, rip the band-aid off.

This x 100000000
Every team in the league knows Eli's moves

He's very predictable, and he doesn't have the distance he used to have on his long throws. In other words, he's done.
I just wish he would retire.
Ohhh,

That throw he completed downfield into the hole he made rolling to his right was painful to watch.
It doesn't matter who's fault it is

It's time for Jones.
It's been time for 2 years

the only one in the organization who recognized that was Ben McAdoo.

McAdoo gets ripped like he's Ray Handley, but he's a better head coach than Pat Shurmur is.

Eli turned from an asset to a liability in 2013.

The offensive system we're running now is lightyears ahead of McAdoo. I don't know about his bonafides as a HC but we're actually running a modern NFL offense now.
This offensive system continues to be

2015 and 2014 were Eli's best years stats-wise

Oh please. He cost them games those two years. 2014 he was lousy in the Lion, cardinal, eagle games 49er game he threw 5 picks.
2015 lousy opening night in Dallas lousy in the eagle game the redskin game in Washington the jet game the Viking game
Why the fuck a team would use a #6 pick on a QB
sb from NYT Forum : 9/16/2019 12:06 am : link
...and then keep your 38yo QB and pay him $20 million is beyond me. It's the stupidest decision in a string of stupid decisions.

Your mind is gone. Shurmur blows as a head coach but will get an oc job after he gets canned; unless Rodgers still needs someone to get him coffee in the morning, McAdoo will never see the NFL again.
