Uninspiring from the top on down...

...an uninspiring owner who made the uninspiring decision to hire Shurmur, who in turn hardly inspires his players.

When you are behind the rest of the NFL on talent, a team can still be competitive with inspirational play, play-calling and coaching.

A couple of days ago I posted the odds Shurmur will be here next season based on how many wins he has this season. Based on the Giants uninspiring play so far, I thinks his chances are 50/50 at best, and my sense is that his odds fall from there in the coming weeks.

This is what 1964 - 1980 looked like. A real ugly mess.

Going to take the whole season to evaluate

This is what the Giants in the 70's looked like. Very little talent, no toughness, no discipline, poor execution. I'm having deja vu.

I wanted Shurmur, but he has been a major disappointment.

name one player, other than SB, who would give you even the slightest cause for concern. There are none! This team is devoid of talent. Shurmur can't work miracles.

look on the defensive side of the ball because the talent deficit is worse there. I feel bad for Barkley having to play with such a crappy team. He is Barry Sanders 2.0

for the last 6 years John Mara seems to focused on making decisions that reflect "the Giant way" rather than articulating and understanding what "the Giant way" actually is and then building off that.

I never wanted Shurmur. Tired of the Giants Org hiring players type of coaches! This team needs a dictator, a Bill Belchick type, no nonsense type of coach. Fuck all this I'm your friend type of coaches. They hire like they run the Organization, no balls, weak, to loyal for their own good asses..

I am okay with Beckham being gone but our offense looks MUCH better with him especially with Jones taking helm soon

Post game after a win sounds like he is talking to a Pee Wee team using nicknames players don't respond Like Lauletta after his comeback win he looked pissed where is Carlock ? no where near you Coach where is Zo again not around you coach. These guys don't relate to him he is like a science teacher boring .
