We all know this defense isn’t good enough to win a single game in the nfl. It’s that bad
But as clear as that is, so is Eli no longer having the talent, athleticism, or ability to make his teammates better to come from behind anymore. There’s a reason why the team plays well when it’s 0-0 or 7-7. But the moment the opposing team has s lead and can turn the pass rush on, Eli just doesn’t have the ability anymore to come from behind.
There just aren’t anymore plays left in his body
It’s over.
He is not the reason we are losing this year but he has not elevated the play around him and that is why it is time to move on.
He has become the classic "take what the defense gives you" QB - sometimes he doesnt even take that. On some teams, with a good defense and good RAC receivers that would be exactly what is needed but we are a far cry from that.
Game should of been 21-10, maybe 21-14 at the half, and in the 2nd half defense played better and offense did nothing..
Our season is going nowhere with this D, but at least make it an opportunity to let DJ develop.
I would rather watch us lose with DJ starting.
There is no point in watching us lose wtih Eli. And I named my 1st born son Eli, but he needs to step down.
