Barkley vs. The Bills

Keaton028 : 9/16/2019 4:16 am
Once again Saquon was really one of the only bright spots in a miserable loss. I watch games because I am a Giants fan, but this season moreso just to see Saquon. Here’s hoping we can build around this kid and not waste his prime years.

Many touches after the 1st quarter? Amazing how underused he is.

Run the same play until the other team shows that it can stop it.

The Giants' philosophy, OTOH, is when we score easily on the first drive we will go totally away from what works.
i have no doubt

no sense in running him into the ground this year
They are misusing him badly

We should be a heavy run team with LOTS of play action off of that. Also need him running routes to get him on the move in space. We do none of the above.
Love Barkley

Truly a once in a lifetime player in my opinion.

Could not agree with you more.

Yesterday was another prime example. First drive we had Eli under center and ran SB right down their throats. Second drive instead of using that look and either run it again or go play action off it they go shotgun.

In the passing game they have him staying in to help with the pass rush. How about getting creative and moving him around to create a mismatch? I saw him split out a couple of times but then motioned back into the backfield.

When the team is down to their 4-6 WR's, you need to find a way to get your best O players ( Barkley, Engram) the ball where they can succeed. You shouldn't be force feeding those WR's.

Problem is this coach is more about his scheme and getting players to run it than finding the best scheme for the players and talent he has. Square peg, round hole.

+2.
They are not putting him in a position in the passing game

to play to his strengths. Most of the routes he runs are into the flat, where a LB buzzes over and he is defended. There should be more designed screens to him, angle routes, wheel routes to get him isolated on a LB down the sidelines...I just don't understand how you can have a player like this, with absolutely no other talent on the team, and use him this incorrectly.
