Scripted plays?

I know Andy Reid scripts the first 15 or so plays on any given game. Figuring since Shurmur's a Reid student he probably does the same.

It's a wonder how the offense looks amazing on only the first possession of a game. Anyone read anything on Shurmur doing this?

First drive, scripted, comes out firing hot. Then when game decisions start to form and you have to make adjustments Shurmur is lost. I was a big supporter of his and I still am to a degree. Before I kill the man I�d like to give him some talent on both sides of the ball

They could be but I think it's more Shurmur having a full week to figure out a plan for the first drive. He's done it well two weeks in a row but the problem is he sucks ass after that. He can't adjust and doesn't appear to be able to think on his feet.

Aside from the first two drives, he and his staff have been out coached big time these first two weeks IMO.

Same thing with Minnesota in NFC title game

although the team is likely stuck with him now since he is tied to Jones, the team must never hire a HC who wants to call the plays unless they are a proven winner

Staple to script the first 15 plays all the way back to the Walsh coached teams in the 90s.

But the offender he�s running fundamentally doesn�t work with an immobile QB and a lack of explosive playmakers at receiver who can take a short slant to the house.

Since Shurmur seems to be allergic to running Barkley.
