we move on from Eli.. this should tell you what people actually think of Eli's play.. its not just the defenses fault.. there is plenty of fault with our offense and the man that leads it..
He was easily the best player on D against the Cowboys.
The NFL trade deadline is week 8.
Sam Beal can come back from IR after week 8.
Trading Jenkins saves us $11.5M next year.
He was not signed by DG.
He is already becoming a malcontent via the media.
I thought we'd win 6-7 games due to our easy schedule - no chance. We're headed toward 3-13. Incredible.
Right now, I'd be surprised if they won 3. I don't know how he managed to do it, but Gettleman made a 5-11 team WORSE.
The only reason they won 5 last year is because we played Chase Daniel, Sanchez/Josh Johnson, Ryan Fitzpatrick & Nick Mullens.
Idk why anybody thought this year would be better. We still have the same bad QB. We lost a very good WR and we have a ton of young guys/new guys on the defense. It was never about this year. It's about being better in 2020. We have to hope guys like Shepard, Engram, Hernandez, Lawrence, Hill, Zo, Baker, Ximines, Connelly etc etc improve.
they were at least somewhat competitive in a lot of the losses last Â
on Winston. As we know, his career is at stake this year.
He was poor against the 9ers. But he rebounded well against Carolina.
If he's Dr. Jekyl Winston, Tampa will easily cover the 6. If he's Mr. Hyde Winston, the cover is down to 50/50. Either way, I think Tampa is a solid favorite.
As mentioned above, Tampa has a loaded receiving corp in Evans, Perriman, Goodwin, Howard, and Brate. Plus, the backs are reliable receiving threats.
So Bettcher's D is going to be up against it again. If we can't get consistent pressure, Winston may put up a 45+ spot in the sticky heat of Tampa...
dumping 3 of your best players and drafting a kid at 6 who you refuse to play is a receipt for making your team worse instead of better.
Who could have predicted that???
bizarre. I have never seen a team build by getting rid of almost all of its good vets who are under contract. This usually forms the base that you build around. We are more akin to an expansion team right now.
can be weird. Giants fighting to win their first game after total humiliation the first 2. Winston can throw a lot of picks. If the Giants can keep it from becoming a runaway and utilize SB, they have a chance. Remember the Houston game last year.
It's hard to win only 1 or 2 games, NFL teams tend to sneak a few unlikely wins in no matter how awful they are.
If Jameis can limit turnovers - they could surprise some people.
I think a 6 pt spread is generous (to us) especially it being a home game for them.
Look at what Winston did to the Giants D last year. Almost brought them all the way back from a 31-14 deficit on the road.
Bruce Arians, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and OJ Howard will carve this defense up.
BTW - Jackrabbit is stealing money

Getting rid of talented guys because they were unhappy with the losing could be the reason.

I think all this adds up to him being a goner.

Yea that ship sailed at the trade deadline last year when he actually had value. Should have traded his ass.

I see 1-15 as a strong possibility!

This D makes any QB look like a future HOF'er.

And this year we won't have DeSean Jaccson's lazy ass to screw up the offense and not come back for the ball.
I also believe that 6 goes to 10 by gametime.
This is likely his breakout game for this season. Godwin is pretty good too.

He wasn't all that bad yesterday either with 7 solo tackles
and having to cover John Brown all day .
