Back in Okinawa, the Japanese girls who tended bar at our favorite karaoke bar used to make a drink that I had never seen before. I don't know what its actual name is, but they called it the "Timmy Typhoon" after my good friend Tim, who often ordered them. It was Malibu rum, Southern Comfort, pineapple juice, and grenadine, and it was damned delicious. So, every now and then I order one. I don't give a wet shit if anyone thinks it's a girly drink.

For years Southern Comfort had a picture of the Woodland Plantation on their label. The house cocktail is the Woodland Punch. So damn good, and my usual go to is bourbon neat, with a beer.
1 part Southern Comfort
2 parts unsweetened pineapple juice
1/2 part club soda
dash of cherry juice
squeeze of lime – optional
is White Claw not popular right now? People everywhere are drinking it, 90% of the guys at my fantasy draft were drinking them like it was light beer. Isn't there a rumor that the makers have a fear of running out of the supply?
Unfortunately I do not have a closet cocktail. Beer, wine, bourbon, martini (at a steak house)
occasionally (ok, every time) while at Narragansett beach in RI, I will leave the beach and walk to the Coast Guard House and sit up on the deck overlooking the ocean and drink a frozen mudslide.
usually so fast my brain freezes, but they're delicious. sometimes I have two before I feel like my wife and kids might tell the life guard they can't find me and kick off an ocean search and rescue.
