Losing by the NUMBERS

GmeninPSL : 9/16/2019 11:06 am
So this is what has become of our beloved franchise since the end of the 2016 season.

Counting that playoff loss in Green Bay the Giants have now gone 8-27

In these 35 games counting the first 2 of the 2019 season they have given up 901 points while they have scored 659 points. Basically being outscored by an average of 25.7 to 18.8 per game.

They've had 4 five game losing streaks within this period (the 4th comes from losing the final 3 games last season and the first 2 games this season)

They have only won back-to-back games twice in that period.

They've been shut out twice in that period.

I can't imagine what that would be like over a 10-15 span. 3 years of this and as a fan you just watch on Sundays expecting to lose. Players are not the only ones who develop a losing attitude, fans do as well.

When and how this funk gets broken, I have no idea! But this just isn't fun anymore. That said, this franchise has seen darker days and eventually what goes up must come down. As lifers we will continue to back this team until we can witness better days again. But for now, these numbers are really, really ugly!!
Sad numbers of reality

A farewell tour. Fact is, that is all that matters in the eyes of our owner. Not winning, which is tough to believe.
It is sobering to realize how long it took to 'break' it last time

The Giants were very good on offense in the late nineties. They won the NFC in 97 purely as a result of the defense. They played a playoff game that year, but I don't care to remember what happened.

Anyway, getting Collins in 99, and they went back to the Superbowl in 2000. Again, I don't remember what happened.

It wasn't until the 2007 season that they went and won it, as a massive underdog.

The point is, they were are very good team in '97, but it still took them 10 years to win it all. We aren't even at the 97 level.
What I find unbelievable is that we actually won

back to back games. How did that happen?
Gotta love all the noise about how good the Giants were

...in the final four games of last season that we heard from media mouthpieces like Lopresti. And they were 1-3.

We played two backup QB's.
We were not good or close to it in 1997

We were +25 in turnover differential. Team had a good defense and a horseshoe up their ass.
I Forgot to mention one more thing
