if Barkley gets upet you know something is off. They should have given SB 25 carries and another 5-8 receptions.. How does a smaller, less physical back like McCaffrey get more carries and targets than Barkley?
See blood in the water. Lets of stuff will come out till they win. I always felt PS had to win. Once they move on from Eli, PS is in the cross-hairs. Not sure he has the make-up to handle it like TC.
Saquon: Coach our #5 WR is starting in the #1 slot and EE is doubled every play. You haven't given me enough touches to get in a rhythm. What are you waiting for?
Shurmur: don't you know I'm an offensive genius? Sit down son.
started telling Saquon how to run last year, that was when I seriously started to question Shurmer. Barkley has more vision in his pinky that Shurmer has in his entire body. Sunday, I noticed Barkley had a chance to bounce outside and instead he ran into the line of scrimmage. I hope that play wasn't because he is actually listening to that fool.
Maybe Now Shurmur Will Sign Off on a Barkley Trade
When the rumor of a trade gets out DG can tell everyone, "We didn't draft Barkley to trade him." Then DG can phone a friend and dump Barkley for a mid-first and a late third.
Normally I wouldn't advocate for such a trade but you can't risk team culture!!!

Noticed this play as well. 1-yard floor/ceiling versus 2 yard loss floor and home run ceiling.
There's no way this happened and the media missed it.
It'd be almost as clickworthy as if Shurmur said Jones was starting. I guarantee you that hacks like Lombardo and Leonard would have been all over it.
They showed it during the game. As someone else said, I wouldn't call it a "heated exchange". Saquon was clearly frustrated about something and Shurmur was talking to him and also trying to pay attention to whatever was happening on the field.
What happened between Jalen Ramsey and Doug Marrone
It didnt look like they really got into it, but Saquon definitely looked distressed. Seemed like he was pleading with Shurmur, who knows it could have been anything. Maybe just general venting about the situation with the coach.
Shurmur could very well be losing the locker room. Like I said before....You can lose but it's how we are losing that's discerning and I'm sure the players are taking note.
What does that mean exactly? Sounds like player and coach had an intense discussion. Doesn't even sound like anyone shouted at anyone.
And seriously, is anyone on this board going to complain if Saquon is either:
- pleading to get the ball more
- requesting a certain playcall
- asking to play even more snaps?
This is the ultimate "hey look over here". Don't watch the absolute inept defense and offense, pay attention to a coach and star player having a "heated exchange".

I'm not saying he is...but if he is or thinks he might be...could that explain the opening of the Eli may not start door? Just a thought
The sideline argument was by far the most exciting part of that game. It was classic 1990 NYG Parcells football. Indy was taken completely out of the game. Those were the days... SIDELINE FEUD - ( New Window )

I'm told there is "zero truth" to any report that may be out there regarding a confrontation involving Saquon Barkley and Pat Shurmur on the #NYGiants sideline during Sunday's 28-14 loss to the Bills.
that didn't get widely reported at the time either, something I thought was odd with tens of thousands of people watching, but after the season was over it was mentioned a couple of times.
I don't view Saquon as being that kind of guy, but everyone has a limit.
they are 8-26 in their last 34 regular season games. I understand that some of you get off on the Mara's running the franchise like a they own a catholic high school but some of us find it frustrating and boring. The .294 winning percentage HC getting into an argument with the #2 pick RB altar boy is news because there is no other Giants news to talk about except Eli/Jones.

So, this is what fake news is!
A key line from the clip was BP telling Simms not to get too inventive
I sometimes wonder if thats Elis biggest problem ... maybe he changes too many plays and gets too caught up reading the defense instead of just executing whats called ... how can the play calling be in sync if hes constantly messing with the plan.

That is a curious way of looking at what the QB's job is.
These guys used to scream at each other quite a bit
The America's game '86 version was friggen hilarious covering this. Simms described it so great. I remember watching those games and they literally were screaming at each other all the time. Could you imagine that today with ESPN/FOX and what they have turned into with the talking heads and social media to boot?

Why would they not be. So Shurmur went to other areas. He still got over a100 yards rushing. Our defense sucked and ELI was getting too many passes tipped at the line, killing a lot of drives. We had no WRs again. The WRs are all china dolls these days.

My all time favorite is the clip of Parcells screaming some people need to get their head out of their ass at LT as he came off the field, I think it was early in the 86 season.
Can you imagine anyone else having the balls to yell at LT?
That is shitty coaching!
I didn't see a heated exchange.

They did WFAN is talking about it now. CBS must have just glazed over it when it was happening so if you werent t paying attention you missed it.
