According to Ian Begley of SNY, Hasheem Thabeet will take part in workouts with the New York Knicks this week. This comes after Thabeet was involved in informal five-on-five scrimmages with the Knicks earlier this summer.
“Former No. 2 pick Hasheem Thabeet is scheduled to participate in workouts with the Knicks in Westchester again this week, agent Jerry Dianis told SNY,” wrote Begley.
He's already 32, seems pointless to be given the roster.

Lets hope. They oddly brought him in earlier this summer but I assumed just to bang with the younger players and his immense size while scrimmaging. Really hope he's not a roster consideration.
I have nothing specific in mind, just wondering. I seriously doubt that they'll sign Thabeet but if they were to, I would think they'd clear the space by working a trade for someone on the roster in return for a draft pick. But again - not suggesting they will.
right, but if there's now a market for Frank post-FIBA, he could be traded?
Again - not saying that's what's up, just wondering about the rules.
