September 17 - FF Thread - QBs dropping like flies

pjcas18 : 9/17/2019 8:57 am
I have Brees in one league, but I also have Brady, so I'm ok there. But the bigger problem is:

in my more important league my top 2 WR's are Michael Thomas and JuJu Smith-Schuster.

Mecole Hardman was dropped before the start of games on Sunday, should I go heavy after him in FAAB?

My other WR's are:
Christian Kirk
DK Metcalf
Marquise Brown
Danny Amendola (will drop him)
Courtland Sutton

Kirk and Brown are both playable it seems, so is Metcalf.

But not the quality of Thomas or JSS.

Any thoughts on WR's?

Just sit tight? See how Bridgewater and Rudolph do.
Pick up Hardman?
you have to hope Teddy and Rudolph

rely on Thomas and JJ just as much. Those 2 WRs still have more upside than most the other WRs listed and should produce regardless of the QB (especially Thomas).

I have Big Ben and Brees in my leagues so searching for replacements now...
Which TE to start in non ppr?
superspynyg : 9/17/2019 9:03 am : link
Hockenson at Philly or McDonald at San Fran? I am 0-2 and need a win.

also

would you start Conner this week if he is active or would you play Robbie Anderson vs NE or Howard vs Det? I have a claim in for Sanders but im low on the list. My other players are hurt or suspended (Green, Hunt, Henry). I am 2-0 in this league
Lost this week

on that last Robbie Anderson catch with 30 seconds left in the game, haha. I also was going against Goff but had Cupp on that 67 yard TD that he was called down on at the 1 foot mark. That Goff QB sneak also fucked me good.

It’s one of those seasons for me.

As for the OP, I wouldn’t panic with the WRs, they will still get heavy volume.
You guys think Bridgewater

McDonald. Seems to have a rapport with Rudolph.

I'd start Conner if he plays over Robbie Anderson - the Pats would probably put Gilmore on Anderson and Gilmore is lights out right now (as is the NE D as a unit).

Players I drafted in my league
Bramton1 : 9/17/2019 9:18 am : link
Sterling Shepard - concussion
David Njoku - concussion
Sam Darnold - mono
Derrius Guice - torn meniscus
Melvin Gordon - holdout

To any player agents willing to protect their clients, I accept cash and checks to drop/trade/never sign your client.
PJ I have a lot of the same guys you do so I say yes to $ on Hardman

I currently have Hardman, Brown, Deebo, and Mclaurin on my bench (or in flex) and I like the hedge for a few more weeks to see which 1 or 2 are the most consistent. I got 3 of them through faab last week and didn't expect to get all of them so now I don't have a lot of money left, but there's not much left out there and all of them can take the top off the D plus steady roles between 5-10 targets. Hardman had a 70 yard TD called back on Sunday beyond the numbers he put up. Deebo played half the snaps he played week 1 and still put up numbers. Mclaurin looks like he's already Washington's top option and somewhat matchup proof. Maybe wishful thinking but these rookie WR's have a 2014 vibe where a bunch of them were productive right away, even if there's no Beckham.
Did anyone else fall for the Miles Sanders pre-season hype?
Mr. Bungle : 9/17/2019 9:27 am : link
I know Doug Pedersen likes the dopey RBBC approach (also known as the "don't let any running back establish a rhythm" approach). But Sanders hasn't looked special to me, in what I've seen so far. For example, against the Falcons, he was in open space against a linebacker, and the linebacker won that battle fairly easily.

I know he's a rookie, and it's early. But I was hoping that he'd clearly establish himself as superior to one-dimensional Jordan Howard and 50-year-old Darren Sproles. Especially since they invested a 2nd-round pick in him and were so excited that they got him.

Agree. And
DK Metcalf has 13 targets in two weeks
Hollywood Brown has 18.

Plus my QB is Lamar Jackson so I really want to pull the trigger on starting Brown, but WR is my strength and I have just had better options.

I'm going to add Hardman and drop Amendola and I'm going hard after him.

I have the exact same too 2 WR on my team. I’m not concerned, Innfact Juju’s numbers went up when Rudolph came in. I think Teddy is going to be fine too.

KC RB situation, anyone burning a high waiver on Thompson now with both McCoy and Williams banged up? Wondering if I should use my #3 I’m hurting for RB depth. My RBs are: Jones, Penny, Hill, and Bernard. Yikes.
