Are we really going to keep rationalizing away poor cap allocation? How much more proof do people need that cap management is critical?
Between Eli, Beckham, and Vernon we have $47M in cap space that is not performing on the field. That is 25%(!!!!) of the salary cap.

Nobody is rationalizing poor cap allocation, it's undisputed and that's 1 of the reasons Jerry Reese isn't here anymore. Your quarrel sir is mostly with him on that subject.
But JMO this is where the argument shifts the terrain to distract from the main question - what was the better QB option in March 2019? Shouldn't the conversation start there first and foremost? And that's why the argument shifts because arguing for Case Keenum or Fitzmagic (or Foles) leads to the same place more or less (0-2).

Or was just pre-disposed to gravitate towards people who told him what he wanted to hear - like the Mets not hiring Chaim Bloom (though I think the decision to hire Gettleman and what he's done since is 1000x more defensible than BVW).
