whoever made the decision to go with DJ now

has shown some important leadership. Folks here often crap on the coach, GM and ownership, but they did the right thing acquiring an heir to Eli sooner rather than later. And now getting DJ in there in week 3, while it is clearly the right move, they easily could have made excuses and waited. This is an appropriately aggressive move and someone over there is ready to lead.

DG is a rip-the-bandaid-off guy. He did it last year with Omameh and OBJ. I suspect he and Shurmur had a talk and agreed it was time, not because Eli stinks, but because the team is crummy and the offense isn't clicking. Might as well rip the bandaid off now.
