But I hope so. I think it's reasonable to hope that Jones can energize the entire team. Have you ever seen an NFL that looks as dead and soft as the 2019 Giants? What bothers me more than the lapses in coverage is the poor tackling and the incdivly poor angles he takes. So even when he reads s play correctly, he is not putting himself in position to make the tackle

Gmen play Arizona, Miami, Washington (Twice), Bucs, Jets.. You can't tell me the Giants can't win those games... Hell, if the Gmen put more points on the board they would have forced Buffalo to play offense under pressure and not just with the game in hand...

today, one thing popped into my head. Is it a popular thought or opinion that Eli 'checked out' of a lot of run plays to Barkley? Is that the thinking behind Barkley will now get more 'touches'? My thought was it is Shula and Shurmur calling the offensive plays. And if ELi switched the play at the line it was to give it to SB. Any thoughts?

but, if he grows quickly, maybe not as drastically as I fear.

However, even with the start we had, I could have seen us approaching 8 wins (not picking them versus specific teams) because I don't think that the defense is incapable of growth.

With a worse overall team last year (discounting experience), we had suckitude and then momentum finishing out. I would have predicted the same with experience gained this year.

Even without Jones starting, the record was obviously going to be horrific for the third season in a row, so..

with the same QB (before he got benched today) that won 8 games in 2 seasons COMBINED, and once again started out 0-2 again. Might as well see what the young guy has.

So Daniel Jone, isn't going to look like the hero, everyone is expecting him to be.

I'll be happy with him just showing promise and learning NFL defenses during life action.
