If Jones struggles immensely (like the Nathan Peterman 5 interception game), will Eli be brought in? Will they give Eli the start of the final game of the season assuming they are out of playoff contention for a proper goodbye?
The team cannot go back to Eli. If Jones struggle, he needs to struggle. Either he grows and turns into a franchise qb or he flops and will never be anything. In that case, you move on quickly to one of the 2019 or 2020 qbs.

Despite Jones good preseason, no guarantee he is an elite QB. In fact, the odds are against him if you look at the history of young QBs.

the WR's healthy I really feel the Tate suspension
hurt the offense more than anything . He is the
closest thing we have to a true #1 WR .
I hate to say it, but I expect Jones to be dinged. This team sucks and he will be looking to scamper to make something happen. HE will get lit up, and guess who will be coming off the pine.

he did, although people claimed it was a fake injury to afford him some breathing room.
