This has nothing to do with DJ taking over or if it would happen, but a lot of BBI is talking about showing Shurmer the door. Let's just say the end of the season sees management uninspired with the coaching and wants to make a change. Who would you like to see brought in. I'm thinking Chuck Pagano would be the hottest candidate around. Three playoff years in Indy and he has that Chicago Defense absolutely humming!
I like this too.
And bring him into the facility to tell him that in person, while he's standing there all glassy-eyed, awash in memories and nostalgia.
I'm not down-voting Rhule, but that criteria needs to be eliminated.
There is a problem with the manner in which the major decisions in this franchise have been made. Clear as day.
..I watched the latest "Do your job" video on YouTube about the Pats and have warmed up to him. I soured on him after the Colts thing. He;s likely Bill B's successor though.
Eric Bieniemy is another name I like
No, it would wind up being Smyth or Tomlen.....
And bring him into the facility to tell him that in person, while he's standing there all glassy-eyed, awash in memories and nostalgia.
Almost certainly wouldn't work, but no reason not to try

Well, they say that Belichick is driven by challenges more than any other coach is. Is there a bigger challenge than turning this franchise that he still loves around?
(That needs to be a part of the pitch, too.)
I'm always wary of college coaches, but I would be OK with rolling the dice on Lincoln Riley.
With a young QB, I'd think they'd want to go with an offensive-minded guy, and Riley is one college guy I would take a shot at.
He can keep that job for 20 years if he wants.
yes

We've rarely had success with "Offensive Gurus".
Tom Coughlin was an offensive assistant. So was Paul Brown, Tom Landry, Bill Walsh, Joe Gibbs, Mike Shanahan....
Tome Landry was a defensive coach
Yes, he was an interim HC for 3 games with Miami. He has been a hot name for the last few years. I like him a lot actually.
^^^^^^ This would be a great choice!
I also like Duce Staley
Meant Lombardi.
I think you spell it tomlen...
If you want someone who knows how best to use Barkley he’s your guy.
Hahahahaha, then let it be John Fox.......hahahahaha
Brady? Retire?
Put down the bong, man. Brady's playing until he's 70.
Lincoln Riley might well look at the set-up and say, "Meh! Dave Gettleman? No, thanks!"
I’d still do it!
Oh fuck, you're right.

Whatever it costs...

Or he might want to use the top 5 pick we likely get on a QB he prefers to Jones.
