Let’s say Jones comes in and the offense performs much better. How do you think that would add to how others view Eli. Would that and the fact Eli was a 500 QB make the case for HOF harder? I think he is a HOF QB for sure but I know many who vote will try to argue that.
But Eli's legacy was made over his entire career, just not the last few years.
Anyone who says otherwise is clueless.
If he's ever going to be considered for HOF he's going to have to wait in a long line of QB's to get in.
February 2012.
And if he retired in 2015 he'd be an absolute lock to make it. His overall record makes it questionable now.
That said, I noticed something funny. All the NFL writers voted yes. One said he was undecided.
The ONLY two that said no were a fantasy football writer and a dude from PFF.

he moonwalks in...he's a manning, 2 Sb mvps, 7th all time for passing yds...no brainer.
Plunkett should be in. I think it's a real injustice that he isn't.
Only 1. Rypien had the other in '91.
It could, but I hope people wouldn't automatically conclude there's a huge difference in talent and Eli was just abysmal in comparison. It just depends on the circumstances, and I honestly believe the rest of the players might just change their mentality a bit... not because they hated Eli, but simply because of a sense of excitement.
Agree 100 % just the fact that he has Two SB mvp's
and at the hands of the GOAT Tom Brady being only
five players in the history of the game have managed
two . I also think he had a chance for a third shot
at a Lombardi when Plax glocked himself .
that's my opinion.
