Caught lightening in a bottle, due to a starting QB getting injured, from 1980 thru 1983, leading the Raiders to two SBs. His playoff run in 1980 was pretty good, winning two road games I believe.
But after 1983, he returned more to his pre-1980 form.
So a VERY small (but very good) window for Plunkett.
That pales in comparison to Eli's 16 year career......
People who make this Eli/Plunkett comparison are lazy thinkers.
True dat. But it's not the insult most people think. Plunkett was a pretty good QB. Even with that squished up face in his one bar face mask... lol
Lol you’re right. I just meant it for those who do try use it to diminish Eli’s legacy. Many posters, even on here, debunked the comparison. Some even did so eloquently. Wish I kept those posts
This isn't fucking baseball...
Wins and Losses for a QB are heavily weighted toward their supporting casts...

Well, the tweet never mentioned wins and losses, but only Eli's success rate in wining (and dining?).
I think he was probably referring to this oldie:
;-)
