Paul Perkins was claimed off waivers by the Lions. The Giants cut TE C.J. Conrad from the practice squad. Giants have five TEs on the active roster, but figured they'd want to keep Conrad around for development.
They probably had draftable grades on both, but the new TE was ranked higher and nothing Conrad did changed that. He had a good start to early camp.
With the practice squad, they are rebalancing it. Everyone complained the roster was out of balance and lots of people pointed out that would change. It just happened quickly.
Glad they aren't messing around.
I wouldn't be shocked if they went QB now on the PS.
While that makes sense numbers wise, since he has been hurt, I think they would have to waive/injure him. I don't think you can take a player out because of injury, cut them and put them on the PS.

The only thing you hope for really, is that at some point they hit bottom and they start to ascend. The descent has been pretty constant the last 3 years. They have Barkley now, they have Jones. Let's see if they can stop sucking. The Defense is a killer though. At least they showed a pulse in 2nd half last week. They need to build on it. I could see Betcher being on the hot seat very very fast. Faster then Shurmur...
Nice! You have to wonder if one of them is on their way off the roster shortly. They are still out of balance. Let's see if they claim a player at a different position now like one of the players from the Chiefs or the LB the Cowboys released.
Is painfully slow and barely blocks, I saw nothing out of him in preseason. He's just not NFL caliber.
I didn't watch him closely enough regarding his blocking (though Shurmur kept praising him in that department), but you are correct, he was really slow. That's why I kept saying keep an eye on Garrett.

Yup. These are the same clowns that cut TJ Jones. And he comes back two weeks later and is better than every WR on the roster.

What, in your expert opinion, makes you think his replacement cant?

Wrong, he was an excellent blocker in college and the Giants coaches confirmed this during camp.
