O’Hara tweeted So incredibly Disappointed & Frustrated with the @Giants Right now. Defense gives up 63 Points in 2 Games & WR Group is depleted but let’s Change our QB??
Brandon London tweeted. Those who boo'd the pick aren't allowed to RT, comment or have an opinion!
Went from booing to jock riding. You know who you are.
Way to show support for Jones guys .listen I am greatly appreciated of Eli and the time he gave us and never missing a game but it is time to move on. I understand these guys played with Eli but for them to come out like this and act like they are benching Eli in his prime is ridiculous he is 8-26 since 2017 they are replacing him with a guy they drafted 6th overall this is not Geno Smith. Show some dam support for Jones. Any other former players tweet how upset they are about the benching of Eli?
I understand he is very good friends with Eli, hell he said Eli is a better QB then Dak before the season started so he obviously is not thinking logically but emotionally.
But i wonder why he chose to omit that the offense put up a combined 24 points through the 1st two games of the season not counting the garbage time TD in Dallas. Just because the Defense stinks, doesn't mean the offense is even passable right now
They are also former professional athletes and should be mature enough to not put this out on Social media.
But it is the right call for the future of the NY Giants.

Guys are humans and friends/know Eli. They don’t know Jones from a hole in the wall. Other than finding it frustrating O’Hara can’t see this is about more than this season (why should he? He’s not a fan, he’s an ex-Giant and won with Eli). No real issue. Even the celebration over DJ is a “change” from draft day. That’s fine, that’s being a fan but it’s true.

Wait, you used mature and social media in the same sentence?
Jones needs the big boy pants now and this type of stuff is the least of his problems. Eli is not around to take all the blame anymore.
They are fishing data to make more $
Maybe, just maybe, the coaches know more than them?

This guy is exhibit A of the most clueless of the clueless here on BBI...
In today’s NFL, that’s unacceptable. The QB has been a problem on this team for a few years now, at least. Just because QB was out-shadowed by the OL (17-18) and D (19), doesn’t mean QB was fine.
Eli was a great QB in his prime. He’s not that anymore. He’s not even good now. It was time to move on. Giving him $23M/17M to play this year was stupid. But it’s done. Let’s move on to DJ now. Hopefully, he’s good.
Parcells always talked about the kinship of winning a Super Bowl together. I would hope former teammates have Eli's back and see no issue with his tweet.
Hopefully in the next few weeks he’ll be breaking down video of Jones on NFLN and remarking how well he’s playing...

This coming from you...whose every post in the last 7 years is defending Eli and blaming the rest of the team. How'd that work out?

In your effort to go down swinging, you just implied that the talking head ex-players on Twitter know more than actual NFL coaches, and framed it in a message that actually called someone else clueless.
I don't know how you do it, but you consistently amaze me. Good thing blinking and breathing are instinctive.
Also maybe, just maybe, there's a deep friendship and emotional connection there that gets in the way of objective opinions?
Maybe?
ya think?

And, as was mentioned above, maybe NFL coaches know more than the people who played the game and now talk about it on Twitter. The jury is still out on Shurmur, but I don't see anyone beating down O'Hara's door to have him coach their team, either.
There's emotion here, and that's totally expected and justifiable. I'd be acting the exact same way if one of my closest friends lost his job or got demoted or whatever comparison is most apt. Most people probably would.
Speaking of people wanting certain things, you wanted Marc Ross to get the GM job
Chuckle.
