Ramsey trade

blue1986 : 9/17/2019 8:23 pm
How about Eli and a 1st and 4th round draft pick to Jacksonville for Ramsey. Jacksonville needs a QB and Coughlin could use ELI.
No thank you...

is too much, we have enough DBs
I don't want and wouldn't have Ramsey on my team
Torrag : 9/17/2019 8:26 pm : link
He's a headcase, me first player that will cause distractions and problems regularly. Hard pass.
I think you are mostly trolling

But to answer the question. No

You don’t give up s first, especially when you could be picking top five
No chance
UConn4523 : 9/17/2019 8:29 pm : link
freeing up money now does nothing and we might have a top 5 pick.
jags
DanMetroMan : 9/17/2019 8:30 pm : link
are asking for 2 1sts. Most of the talking heads think that's a fair ask. He wants to go to the Raiders or Titans, not that the Jags have to listen.

BleedBlue : 9/17/2019 8:30 pm : link
id do manning/2/5 for him.

he would transform the defense and what we can do.

you can still let jenkins walk or dump him after the season and baker still becomes a starter opposite ramsey. ramsey would really allow bettcher to do whatever he wants up front. then in offseason, we look to add WR, Edge, OL through FA and draft
Why give our first
Nine-Tails : 9/17/2019 8:41 pm : link
Its gonna be top ten, possibly top 5 pick. This for guy who is trending down in terms of play and character. Also will want to be highest paid corner
No,

We have DB bodies. We don’t have enough talented players anywhere. Ramsey is a talent.
He’s a diva and I wouldn’t want him.
yatqb : 9/17/2019 8:49 pm : link
He’s also good, but not as good as he thinks.

And the Giants giving up any high draft choices is insane considering our likely record this year and how much we need in order to be competitive.

NOBODY IS TRADING FOR MANNING!!! He's a feeble old man at this point. Don't you get it? He's a mediocre backup level player.

No way would I deal for him but he's 24 and a stud. Trending down doesn't seem particularly fair.

NFL.com

"When I watched Ramsey during his college career at Florida State, I remember thinking, Dang, this kid is going to be a great free safety in the NFL. Man, was I wrong. He's a lockdown corner who is a combination of Champ Bailey and Richard Sherman. (Not bad, right?!) I know Bailey and Sherman are completely different cornerbacks when it comes to playing the position, but Ramsey's ideal mix of length, athleticism and speed allows him to run with any receiver on the field. Ramsey has allowed the third-lowest completion percentage (52.9) and fourth-lowest passer rating (71.6) in coverage among 98 cornerbacks with at least 200 targets since 2016, per Pro Football Focus.
"
A probable top 5 pick in the draft for Ramsey?

Fans like those really never deserved Eli at all... it definitely is pathetic.

Oh, and as far as the OP goes.. yeah, let's give up what will likely be a top 5-10 pick for a loudmouth DB who never stops yapping and will be another gigantic distraction.

No thanks.
its absurd
Sonic Youth : 9/17/2019 9:36 pm : link
that you think the jags would even remotely do that
.
arcarsenal : 9/17/2019 9:42 pm : link
There's also the part where we'd need to make Ramsey the highest paid CB in football to keep him beyond next year.
Why does JAC need a QB again?

Have you seen Minshew play? And Foles is back week 10/11

I don't think they should make this trade, so I'm not saying this to defend the OP, but why is it so hard for people to realize that you can roll over unused cap space? Freeing up money now gives them additional cap room next year, so to say that "freeing up money now does nothing" is absolutely false.

I didn't see him last week except for the last drive, but I did watch him week 1. Very composed back there, barely missed a beat from his wizzou days.

Minshew was a bit shaky for the game, but he was fantastic that last drive. Showed some real poise and ability to extend plays.

He's got some Mayfield in him.

Have you seen Minshew's replacement at Wash State? Anthony Gordon? Very interesting prospect...
