that one got to me. One thing that stood out was the he was a fucking baby when he won SB 42. Those of the kinds of things you forget over time....or perhaps don't even realize at the time.

And no, there's nothing wrong, I just got something stuck in my eye for a second.

Thank you

I cannot be the only one who gets a little choked up over this haha

Two plays missing, Eli to Cruz for 99 and Eli's game winner to toomer vs Denver at home in 05 or 06. I was at that game and hugged a random person in front of me as we celebrated the win as time expired. Those two plays should be in there.

There were a lot of missed opportunities for clips, but I’m sure in limited time the creator didn’t have a huge library to work with that he could cut up.
That was great

I think a big part of why I’ve always loved him is how so many people have been desperate to tear him down over his career. Media, opposing fans, shit a measure of Giants fans have loved to bash him and are crowing now that he’s at the end.

Fuck em all...that’s a career to be proud of, Eli

Agreed but there is a limit to a 4 minute video and Eli's had more than his share of great plays.

In the song toward the end when it said "I took my blows" I wish they'd shown a quick clip of Eli in SF with his jersey hanging off of his shoulder pad. My personal favorite Eli play of all-time was hitting Manningham in the endzone in SF in the NFCCG on 3rd and 15. Just purely the most gutsy performance ever to take all those hits and then deliver that strike for a TD when they simply COULD NOT settle for a FG. It was just so signature Eli in a way I can't even put into words. I do wish that play was in there. Other than that I have no complaints, fantastic video.
Very nice

I love the guy.. There's a lot more to him then all the throws and great plays - all the stuff he did (and does!) off the field. God bless him that he's healthy and maybe he can walk away in good shape.

just the best QB I could have ever dreamed of representing the NYG....

I remember the day you were drafted.... It was a beautiful Spring day on cape cod... I was inside watching the draft... The chargers pick Eli.. NYG picks Rivers... Ok something is up... Trade was made... I was just so ecstatic! I remember my wife asking me why there was a ton of cheering coming from the living room.. "Honey, we just drafted a Superbowl"

Little did I know that was the understatement of the century... 2 improbable runs.. 2 SB MVP... More memories than I can list...

Good luck in whatever comes next Eli... You ARE and will always be the BEST... pure class!!!
The craziest part is
aimrocky : 9/18/2019 6:42 am : link
That many of today’s fans weren’t fans during many of Eli’s epic games. That may be why the Eli vs anti Eli crowd was so divisive.
It’s a real shame that this man has been...
Crispino : 9/18/2019 6:54 am : link
the subject of so much derision and scorn in his career. And that so many people forget what he’s done for the franchise. Ask 30 other teams drafting a QB if they’d take Eli Manning’s career accomplishments from their QB: top 10 all time in passing yards and touchdowns, 2 time Super Bowl winner and MVP. Never missed a game due to injury and led your franchise with class for more than 15 years. That’s a hell of a career, and we owe him tremendous gratitude and respect, not the casual disrespect with which so many are treating the news of his being replaced. Thank you Eli. Thank you for it all.

Great choices. And that come from behind win over Denver was the last one Wellington Mara saw, from his deathbed, if memory serves.

Should've been the one to Barber to close out his rookie year. But still a nice job (despite the obvious missed opportunities) and definitely a moving tribute.
Great tribute
Diver_Down : 9/18/2019 7:17 am : link
but it reinforces the trash that Eli had to play with over his career. Seems as there should be no shortage of completed passes to choose from that would make the cut, but I find it hard to include Will Tye immediately falling down and Leaping Larry. Perhaps I missed it, but was Plax's go ahead TD reception in the SB included?

"married" into the giants last year, and over the past 5yrs of us being together. She loves Eli and knows she didn't even get to enjoy the best of him. She really enjoys watching his clips
Tears indeed. Real ones.

I know it is time but he has been such a classy fighter over the years. Never cared for the derision sent his way because he isn't perfect on every given day. He is a good man that has given a lot of joy to me and others.

You people have done nothing but bitch and criticize the guy for 8 years and now you are turning on the water works and schmalz. Please.

Personally, I hope when they call him out for his one snap or whatever bullshit ceremony they put together, that he sticks his middle finger up at the three stooges in the owner’s box and front office and walks off.

You and Bill Barilko did ton of unnecessary bitching about Eli earlier in his career so spare us the white knight act.
I wonder if Jones
rocco8112 : 9/18/2019 8:03 am : link
will be treated like Eli.

Tell you one thing, everyone seems very certain he will be good based on four ore season games.

We will see.
To each their own...
Chris684 : 9/18/2019 8:12 am : link
But as a staunch Eli supporter since day number 1, I really have no idea how there are actually Giants fans that never came around on Eli.

Sucks for them though. They are in for a lot of Eli appreciation time between now, the end of the season, eventual HOF induction and beyond.

The time for Eli criticisms is now over. His legacy will only grow from here on out.
Fucking GREAT
Johnny5 : 9/18/2019 8:12 am : link
This situation sucks. I remember sitting in my driveway during the draft in 2004 when we made the trade. Holy shit... it seems like yesterday.

Two of the greatest SB runs any fan could ask for. Clutch as clutch can be. I will remember that SF NFC championship game until the day I die.

How anyone can disparage this guy is beyond me. He is in the very upper echelon of all time and not just of Giants players... but all NFL players.
Fantastic Tribute

you what was weird for me yesterday, changing the QB pecking order on the BBI depth chart.

arniefez : 9/18/2019 8:39 am : link
I think there's a better chance of Eli playing again this than most people think. QB's get injured often. Except for the one the video was made for. Certainly not wishing an injury on the new QB. I hope he plays 210 games in a row. But the odds are against it.
