Going to be interesting to hear his comments. I'm sure the reporters are going to ask him about his interactions with Eli after the announcement was made...
and many of you free speaking, vocab whizes would crumble in a situation like this. He is answering the way I want my #1 QB to answer.. He is well coached, well mannered and knows that his job relies on 10 others down to down...
RE: Probably didn't have to do a lot of these at Duke lol

Yes, How DARE some of you criticize OUR #1 Quarterback and they way he acts and speaks!.....oh wait.
It typical Mara fashion Jones has been put in the worst
possible situation. Not only is he replacing Eli but he has to see him everyday in practice and meetings and everytime he comes to the bench during games.
NFL football is not the real business world and I doubt any of you have ever been in a corporate setting where a very high level executive who was a huge contributor for a long time is replaced involuntarily. So you'll have to trust me on this. Trust me no board that just replaced him would want that exec in the building watching the person who replaced him or her for the rest of the year as mentor. It is a terrible business and human resources decision. Horrible for company morale.
I think Eli said something like I didn't die. Yeah in NFL terms he did and for now the body is in the building for the rest of the year.
Football players are not normal people and all of them know exactly how the business of the NFL works but this is still bad business even for the NFL.
It's a new era for the New York Giants and even though we may have problems with this franchise and a lot of thing certainly need changed and addressed. As fans we should support Daniel Jones and hope he has a lot of success with this team.
Didn't listen to this presser, but I thought listening to him speak before was extremely similar to Eli. Very diplomatic and well thought out. He's a very smart kid and he'll deal well with the New York media.
RE: Guy needs a speech coach...uhh,,,ummm,,,and uhhh
I mean, who really wants to turn on the Jalen Ramsey Show?
That's true. But, he's had two moments where he could have made a big media firestorm (Baker and this) and deftly avoided them - in spite of all the uh's and um's. The Mara's must be ecstatic about his performance so far.
Mic drop.
Well played.

The kid is a fast learner.
He could speak Martian, if he wins football games who cares
That was the first thing I noticed.
Sounded like Eli when I used to transcribe his pressers.
Who cares?
Yep. CRashed

Not everyone's Peyton Manning or Tim Tebow.

I guess you've never seen a Lamar Jackson interview.

Nerves played a big part. He's taking over a position a legend held for 16 seasons.
The umms and uhhs are too be expected. Listen to his previous interviews under less duress. He was very well spoken.

his one-on-one with Bob "Popper" after yesterday's practice was perfectly fine.

Words of wisdom...perhaps the Giants should adopt that as their slogan/philosophy.
