Not sure about instantly, but it can't hurt to see what he has vs. what is on the roster today. That is assuming the price is right and should he make it through waivers. I doubt we land him that way.

Then want to bring in Taco Chalton? You realize Lorenzo Carter nearly matched or exceeded Charltons 2 year NFL “production” in his rookie year in what amounted to about half the defensive snaps Charlton played in the nfl over a 2 year period?

Maybe the dallas scheme isnt a fit. The scouting reports are pretty good, he needs to be coached up.

Im not sure he is a 3/4 player though but I also think we need to turn over every rock for a pass rusher.

You realize Jabrill Peppers has been a complete and utter disappointment so far. He made the Bills highlight reel getting put on skates by a Bills WR last week on the TD run.

I would not use those two as any sort of “fix” on defense. Both have so far played well below what was expected of them in the NFL. Peppers has been a complete zero in two games with the Giants.

But Charlton was turning heads during the preseason and it was thought that the light had finally come on.

His problem was Dallas is very deep on the DL, it's the deepest position on the team. With Robert Quinn returning it became a numbers game at DE, and the numbers were against him.

God forbid Gregory comes back and Dallas will have to trim again.

I believe that he is best suited for a 4-3 team. If a 4-3 team picks him up, I think he will surprise.
