CC's last regular season start in Yankee Stadium

Possibly his last ever, depending on how Boone sets it up in the playoffs.
we need Stanton to get into a groove going into the playoffs
Jints in Carolina : 9/18/2019 3:50 pm : link
.
someone remind Stanton
RasputinPrime : 9/18/2019 3:56 pm : link
not to jump when he celebrates today. We don`t want to risk another random injury.

Most HRs in Age 22 (or younger) Season in AL History:

Joe DiMaggio 46 (1937)
Juan Gonzalez 43 (1992)
Alex Rodriguez 42 (1998)
Boog Powell 39 (1964)
Gleyber Torres 38 (2019)
Ted Williams 37 (1941)
Jimmie Foxx 37 (1930)

All these guys won multiple MVPs except for Boog, who only won one. (He did finish 2nd and 3rd in other seasons.)

Torres is impressive no doubt. I just want him to stay healthy at this point.

Also... just so everyone's prepared - Stanton is only slated to play about 5 innings or so tonight. So, when he gets replaced mid-game, it's planned. Not because he's hurt again. :)

(Or at least I hope that'll be the reason... given how this year has gone, eesh)
a bunt hit in a game that means nothing to the Angels
RasputinPrime : 9/18/2019 6:44 pm : link
on CC's last home start? No way does he get out of this building without a reminder that baseball is about more than balls and strikes.

...weak attempt by DJ on that grounder by Calhoun.
some play by Gio
RasputinPrime : 9/18/2019 6:46 pm : link
to end the inning.

Let's get the big fella through 5 and set up for a W.
Is Urshela still

Yeah that was pretty weak, and it calls for getting drilled. CC's last start at the Stadium and you do that on the first pitch? Someone needs to clue that young man in.

Nice little sendoff for CC. He'll be on the mound again this year... still business to take care of.

I do, too. Heart rending welcome for him coming out.
I think the Yankees would have upped the sendoff

if we weren't fighting for the playoffs and likely to see him in it.

Judge with an oppo-laser.

2-2
If CC makes the postseason

roster it will be a gift for him and out of the pen.

As Judge removes CC from losing the game...2-2

Probably not the smartest thing to link since it was easy to just see that over his last 30 games his OPS is 1.034.

section125 has a hard on for Judge. He’s been ripping his every ab for 2 seasons now. Every single time Judge strikesout, section comments about his shitty abs. It’s seemingly gone unnoticed because nobody has ever mentioned it, but he treats Judge like he’s a useless fringe bench player on a nightly basis.
anyone who feels the threads are lacking
RasputinPrime : 9/18/2019 8:20 pm : link
should start making some deposits.

German hasn't commanded the ball well tonight - especially his FB.

Pujols getting a stolen base without a throw should never happen. But it did.

I'm a bit surprised German is out already. I guess the transition to the pen and the post-season role is in full swing.

WOW

that was the worst throw i've ever seen. Ottavino just destroyed this inning. Should have been an inning ending DP and instead its go time for the Angels.
