Really? Flubs. Saved one run and Otto did not cover 1st on the other.

The first one he either catches it or gets back to first to cover. The second one he needed to simply run at the runner.

Can't simply run at the batter with the runner on third breaking for home. If he turns and runs toward 1st, the run scores. Ottavino should have been covering instead watching.
Why was Wade on deck for Stanton?

Ottavino was a dud the entire time he was out there. We needed Larry to complete the set.

He was only going 5. They just want him to get his feet wet.

bet they don't get beat by the bums that pitched tonight.

Part of this is giving so many people days off. Kind of stuck between trying to keep people fresh while winning the homefield advantage. Wish they would give Ottavino a few days off...
Might be able to kiss the best record good-bye already.

Kind of glad Tampa won. I didn't want to do it that way.

It's a tough balance we're trying to strike here. We have to prioritize health. But homefield really does matter here.

Last night was frustrating (even more so because my basement flooded and I was down there with the wet vac half the game!).. was kind of the perfect stage to clinch the division with CC having pitched, etc. but it wasn't meant to be.

It'll get done tonight.

Go get'em tonight, get it done. I wasn't surprised they switched Happ & Tanaka, since Tanaka has owned
Tampa Bay this year.
With the switch, he is in line to face them
at the Trop next week.

This may be a blessing in disguise . Let Houston play Oakland in the first round. The A's right now scare me more than Houston
