NGT- How the hell is Richie Icognitio allowed

jvm52106 : 9/19/2019 8:57 am
to be back in the NFL? He, after serving a two game suspension is now back with the Raiders and ready to play for the first time since 2017.

The guy has shown some serious mental illness signs going back 6-7 plus years. His issues are both with and around football and outside of football. He has had anger issues, bizarre behavior and road rage, bullying- to an ugly and very demented level and just a flip flop mentality of done not done with the NFl. He could be a guy who could clearly snap on the field and hurt someone badly or worse.

With all the things that get guys suspended and or banned (Josh Gordon missed a ton of time) how does Richie Incognitio even pass a mental exam to be allowed to play in the NFL.
I think he is medicated and in therapy now.

Not very many.
There's a mental exam to play in the NFL?

I don't think half the guys would pass

You have to count to ten without using your fingers or toes

I can't remember his entire history but he's always seemed like a college Bro with anger issues. Not uncommon with football players.

For one he's got a teammate who shouldn't be in the league anymore in Burfict. There's also child and women beaters all over the place it seems.

Again, not defending him, but if he got some help and lays off the fraternity hazing, i'm guessing he's worth taking a flier on.

Seriously, if you read the transcripts of what he had been saying and doing- I mean, yeah, if I was 6'5" 325 I would have dealt with him differently than Martin did but, that was some fucked up shit..

FYI- there are not many guys worse than incognitio for his completely unstable nature. There are others that are evil for sure but, on the field they are just football players. Richie seems like a guy who could snap in a heartbeat!
I'm surprised anyone can recognize Incognito

The players do have a union.

So there is a limit to what the NFL can do....

The commissionor list was created....as away to keep players off the TV....but still getting paid.

They can not keep them from playing..if they clean up thier act and still have a market for their talents
If the guy was a rainmaker bringing in fat new clients

Most companies would put up with his behavior.
If a young OL

Can be "bullied" off the team with taunts and voicemails then he shouldn't be on the field. You literally have the life of the quarterback in your hands, and someone that is unable to stand up and fight does not belong on the field. Better that he is"bullied" incamp and quit before he has a mental breakdown in a game situation and his qb gets a broken neck.

Let's also remember that Martinuploaded this on the internet after being out of the league for years. Not a strong and rational person I trust to protect anyone.

Good point jvm

He seemed to have very serious issues. I am surprised anyone would want him in a locker room.

He’s near the top. This guy is reprehensible.
He was hilarious in Hard Knocks
BigBlueDownTheShore : 9/19/2019 9:22 am : link
Everyone was getting into fights and he just hung on the side clearly going through some anger management tips taking to himself.

If he cleaned up his act he deserves a shot. Like many have said, there have been much worse.

It looks like he got the necessary help.
As long as a guy isn't headed to prison during the season
David B. : 9/19/2019 9:24 am : link
NFL teams will sign ANYONE if they think he can help them win. Both the Dolphins and the 49ers took a crack at Lawrence Phillips knowing full well what he was. They always rationalize that it will be different in their building, and that they can manage it better than the team where the guy flamed out.

How is Greg Williams still allowed to coach?

Aww ...did he steal your lunch ?

I wouldn't want to be on a team with him.
Agreed he’s a psychopath
Dave in PA : 9/19/2019 2:59 pm : link
But I think society is better off having him as part of an organized sport than roaming free every waking hour.
No one’s

perfect (other than Eli).
He threw a dumbbell at a dude in a gym
Hsilwek92 : 9/19/2019 5:07 pm : link
and screamed at him, “Get the fuck out of my sandbox!”

He also threatened to shoot up a funeral home or something to that effect.

Oh, and there was the time he destroyed his Lamborghini with a bat in the front yard of his home.

Sounds like a real stable guy who should definitely still be in the NFL
Of course the dumbass boomers come out to defend this guy.
