ESPN Analytics created a revolutionary new way of measuring the pass-block and pass-rush performance of individual NFL players. Our Pass Block Win Rate metric tells us the rate at which linemen can sustain their blocks for 2.5 seconds or longer. Likewise, our Pass Rush Win Rate metric tells us how often a pass-rusher is able to beat his block within 2.5 seconds. Our model of pass blocking harnesses player tracking data from NFL Next Gen Stats. |

Small sample but that's awesome. Should mean short yardage goes back to being much easier (remember BJ's 1-2 yr, he was like 15/16 on 1 yrd conversions? Something like that)
Tho getting to 3rd and short might is a different issue esp if we avoid giving the ball to SB

One data point, but didn't Sy have Halapio as the best OL against Dallas?

and start Pulley.

Sy did. Then he said against the Bills that Halapio basically did a 180.
I watched Halapio specifically against Dallas.
He played exceptionally well.
I'll go back and watch him against Buffalo tomorrow. At the game I didn't see him standing out in regard to poor play.
I would think with Saquon D's have to be less aggressive and go more bend but don't break 2 gap than a penetrating 1 gap scheme.
1 gap is like the Maginot Line and 2 gap is like General Mannstein's defense in depth along the eastern front.
They need to restock the cupboard in the 2020 draft

Not that old.
Solder: 31
Hernandez: 24
Halapio: 28
Zeitler: 29
Remmers: 30
They're younger than the Eagles at every position and pretty close to Dallas' OL age. That said, Snee/Diehl did start breaking down around then which we still haven't recovered from and they do need to add some young blood, particularly at the OTs.
Really need Ximenes and/or Carter to show legit pass rush skills so we can "afford" to use a Day 2 pick on OL next year.

hopefully the line is still doing well in a few years because its a pretty old group.

Hopefully this upcoming draft they can draft a prospect to groom and take over for Solder in a few years.. Remmers too

They need to grab a young tackle or two in the next draft, along with a pass rusher, WR, LB.
