How is it possible Saquon Barkley is not on this list?

is that they need to get him the ball in space in the passing game. Angle routes, wheel routes, split him wide, I don't care how but it is holding us back immensely to use him for dumpoffs only in the passing game.

I was begging for angle routes all year last year, and it seemed like Shurmur finally started to incorporate a little creativity like that during the winning streak, but so far nothing. A huge knock on the Head Coach. Especially given the WR injuries...

The offense has been simply limited with Eli. I can’t figure out why, even with those limits, they can’t get him the ball in space more, but I’ll have to wait and see on this.

It’s a crime that he’s not being moved around like McCaffery and Kamara.

With Jones at the helm we will continue to see this terrible offensive scheme continue to disappoint. Hopefully that will result in it being addressed, but I worry the only real way to address our problems is to lose this terrible coaching staff.

Giants have run 132 offense plays.
Until a QB proves they can beat a defense they will keep loading the box and take him away.
Hopefully it starts this week.

was that is 2nd in rushing yards but 16th in attempts. He could be lapping the field with more carries!

There's no gameplan to gameplan around SB, like isolating him against a MLB from the slot like BB does with Edelman. Friggin Shermur system weenie wco BS dragon spacing routes sending SB to the flats like he's Tom Rathman.

That stat is a damning indictment of Shurmer's incompetence.

Blame Eli all you want, but Shurmur has to get Saquon the ball. It is malpractice and a fireable offense if those touch %'s don't increase.

Yes-- you can. You can run draws. Draws with Barkley can you get 5-15 yards.

coming into this season. The jury was out. Through 2 weeks the case against him has gotten stronger. His under utilization of Saquon. How do we have no effective play action with the best RB in football? His playcalling into Eli's weaknesses rather than his strengths. All indictments of Shurmur.

Says who? We know what Barkley is capable of, right? Why do people keep repeating this as if it fits the player?

This isn't Tyrone Wheatley getting the ball down 2 scores. It's a home run hitter that can go 60 yards on one play.

They can't get him the ball because the Giants have 2 good players on offense, Barkley and Engram.

Maybe when Tate and Shepard are both on the field defenses will have to be remotely respectful of the Giants downfield.

I see the Jones era as a brand new start to the season
also the matchup is with another team that has struggled the last few years

Dallas and Buffalo are likely going to the playoffs

If we dont win this game or at least be competitive, it will be a rocky

I dont blame Shurmur as much as Bettcher who seems lost protecting against good QBs

With Jones at the helm. This may change. I expect Shurmur to move Barkley around to get the mismatches. Jones mobility should extend plays.

the ball more, some of the fault for this does fall on Eli. Giants were notoriously terrible at screens and flat passes for years in spite of changes in coaching and offensive plans. While some of that falls on blocking, much must fall on Eli who never seemed to master the “short” pass to a back in virtually every scenario. We’ve seen that for years.

D Jones has that ability and i think we’ll see more successful screens etc over the coming weeks. How many downfield targets and how often SB gets “flanked” put etc I don’t know if that’s coaching, game planning, or on Eli’s perceived ineptitude.However we will soon find out.
